My name is Sara Button, I have been an Ofsted Registered Childminder since 1996 and during this time have cared for over 50 children with many sets of siblings. I offer a home from home environment which enables your child to grow and develop, allowing them to reach their full potential. Through lots of play opportunities, craft activities and outings to local attractions, parks and the beach, each child is able to learn and flourish. I work with an assistant which enables me to care for more children at one time; this benefits the children in learning social skills in larger groups. Every child deserves the best possible start in life and the support that enables them to fulfil their potential. Children develop quickly in the early years and a child's experiences between birth and age five have a major impact on their future life chances. Good parenting and high quality early learning together provide the foundation children need to make the most of their abilities and talents as they grow up. The final full week of the Summer Holidays saw us visit Upton country Park, we followed the Cockle Trail in Poole old town and on the quay, learning a little bit of the history of where we live. We visited the Blue Pool and had fun in the play areas. We completed our holiday craft and the bags went home. The reading challenge was finished we have enjoyed 56 stories over the 6 weeks and everyone had 6 new books to keep. Next week we see our Bigger Buttons return to their new school years it’s been great to see them over the summer, and all our new starters join us for their first full week. ❤️🧡💛💚💙🩵💜🩷

This weeks adventures included a trip on the open top bus which everyone enjoyed and a trip to Poole Park to feed the ducks. We completed more craft and listened to more stories from our summer book challenge. We also welcome some of our new little Buttons for settling in sessions. It’s that emotional time of year when we take our 2026 leavers out for their farewell meal. Our grown up boys all looked very handsome in their party shirts and were very well behaved. We are still enjoying the lovely summer weather, on Tuesday we spent a busy morning at Corfe Mullen Rec in the play park and playing football. Wednesday we visited Poole Quay and on Thursday we returned to Upton Country Park to do the summer trail again. We enjoyed lots more stories from the summer reading challenge, and did some more craft activities.

Another busy fun filled week, with visits to Broadstone Park and football on the Rec, our weekly visit to the Blue Pool and on Friday a visit to Bournemouth Gardens to play crazy golf. More craft activities completed and Books read. We also had to have quite a few ice lollies because of the heat.❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜🩷

This week we enjoyed outings to Coy Pond to feed the ducks, we did the Summer Fantasy Trail at Upton Country Park which everyone enjoyed. Our weekly visit to the Blue Pool was on Thursday we did the long wooden bridge and the play area this time. On Friday we only had 2 children so it was a special treat to go to Weymouth visit Janet and Little Tortoise. Followed by lunch in one of Janet’s friends beach hut. We then went to the Sealife Centre and had great afternoon looking at all the animals and fish. ❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜🩷

We had a lovely first week of the summer holidays, a local walk and football on the green, ice lollies were needed to cool down afterwards. A lovely visit to the Blue Pool where we all enjoyed the new fairy door hunt. We returned to a holidays favourite the Big wooden insects at Canford Cliffs. We also celebrated a 3rd Birthday it’s always fun to have your birthday in the holidays as you get to have fun with lots of your friends, we played lots of party games and dancing. We finished off the week with a visit to Wimborne Model Town where we were all giants for the morning. We have started lots of our holiday craft following our theme this year of “under the sea” and read lots of books for this years reading challenge. ❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜🩷

We said farewell to Jude today, Goodbyes are always hard and emotional. We have loved watching him grow and develop over the last 2 years but we know he will love going to pre school. We will miss him lots and miss singing “Hey Jude” Good Luck Jude from all of us at Little Buttons ❤️🧡💛💚💙🩵💜🩷
