Today I turned the the key to lock the door for the very last time
After 29 years of laughter, tears, tantrums, friendships, challenges, hard work, and best of all fun Pinocchio Preschool closes and my working days end.
It has been a HUGE part of my life and I will miss it so much.
I have been truly blessed to have worked with some amazing people and had the opportunity to grow from 2 afternoons a week in a church hall for about 10 children to having own premises 5 days a week for up to 70 children a week.
We have welcomed thousands of children and hopefully given them happy memories and the best start in life.

One chapter finishes and another starts! Tomorrow "Little Livingstones" occupy the premises with a new manager and new children! and the fun continues.

Thankyou to each and every person both young and old who have been part of my amazing 29 years.❤

FUN IN THE PARK
Such a fantastic time in the park today!
Thankyou to all our parents/grandparents who brought their children to our fun day.
Icing biscuits, face painting, clay faces on tree trunks, making shakers, magic wands and flower crowns.
Treasure hunt, circle games and of course mummies running race.
Think we will all sleep well tonight.

PAINTING WITH FEET
Feet are often forgotten as a wonderful tool for painting as well as exploring the sense of touch. Sensory exploration, colour exploration, gross motor development, language development all mixed up with laughter and giggles was lovely to watch!!
Sorry about the red feet Mums but we had so much fun!

Milk , food colouring and washing up liquid...look what happens!

PRETEND V REAL LIFE
Real life wins hands down!!
Does a block of wood painted to look like a cake smell like a cake? Can you cut it and share it with your friends? Can you spread cream (shaving foam) over it and stick two together?
How long before the interest in wooden cakes goes?
Look how after a few minutes the wooden cakes were put aside and not used.
Look at how cutting and spreading skills were used and children stayed at this activity for extended length of time.

All so different and each one so special.

We met some amazing creatures last week!
Respect for wild life and animals begins from a young age. Anna came to show us how to handle them carefully and be kind. We loved meeting Gary the giant snail, Felip the cockroach, Henry the tortoise, Grut the stick insect, Franklin the snake and Yogi the gerbil.
