🏅⭐ Future Sports Leaders in Training! ⭐🏅

Some selected Year 5 and 6 pupils recently took part in Sports Leader Training with the East Dorset School Games Organiser 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️. Through a series of fun and engaging activities, they developed valuable leadership, communication and teamwork skills 🤝🎯.

They will soon be putting their training into practice by helping to run games and activities at school, as well as supporting future sporting events 🏅⚽.

We're sure they'll be taking the lead and making a real game-changing impact around school! 🌟👏

🪵🔨🐦 Year 6 have been busy building their very own bird hides, carefully measuring, cutting and gluing wood to create the perfect spot for observing wildlife. They have demonstrated fantastic resilience, craftsmanship and teamwork throughout the project.

👀🌿 These talented young builders have certainly been keeping things owl-some, creating hiding places that will help them get a beak peek at nature without disturbing it! 😄

👏 We can't wait to see the completed bird hides in action and hear about all the feathered visitors they spot. 🐦🍃✨

📜 A Special Visitor to Our School! 📜

🏛️ Yesterday, we were delighted to welcome a very special visitor, Councillor Griffin, who led our assembly.

📖 The children were fascinated to learn about the rich history of Upton and discovered many amazing facts about our local town.

🤩 It was a truly engaging and informative session, and the children showed great curiosity and enthusiasm throughout.

💡 In fact, even the staff learned something new!

👏 A huge thank you to Councillor Griffin for sharing his knowledge and helping us learn more about the history of our wonderful community. 😊
