🎶 A Special Recognition for Music at Upton Junior School 🎶

We are incredibly proud to announce that Upton Junior School's Music Department has been presented with the Mayor's Award for Musical Excellence by Lytchett Minster & Upton Town Council. 🏅🎵

The award was proudly accepted on behalf of the Music Department by our outstanding Lead Music Ambassadors, Ottilie and Freya, whose passion, leadership and commitment have inspired so many young musicians across our school.

While the award recognises the exceptional musicianship showcased at this year's Summer Concert, it also celebrates the thriving musical culture at Upton Junior School. Through our ambitious music curriculum, specialist teaching, instrumental tuition and a wealth of performance opportunities, every child is encouraged to discover and develop a love of music.

This award belongs to our pupils, dedicated peripatetic teachers, supportive staff and wonderful families, whose enthusiasm and encouragement make our music department so special.

Thank you to everyone who has helped make music such an important part of life at Upton Junior School. We are incredibly proud and look forward to inspiring the next generation of young musicians. 🎶💙

The Mayor attended the Leavers' Assembly and proudly presented awards to the following pupils, celebrating their exceptional achievements, commitment, and perseverance. 🏅🌟👏

🌞🎉 The Upton Schools Summer Fayre was an un-fayre-gettable success! 🎪🏰 From bouncing castles and exciting games 🎯 to disco fever 🪩🕺, fun was the name of the game all day long! 😄🎈

🎉 Lulworth earned the most House Points over the term and are also the Overall House Winners for the Year! 🎉
👏 To celebrate this fantastic achievement, all children in Lulworth House may come to school in non-school uniform tomorrow.

🎸 Fantastic news as we close another fantastic academic year!

A huge congratulations to Lily, who has passed her Grade 1 Electric Guitar exam with a High Merit score! 🌟

To make the achievement even more special, Lily was also recently awarded our Music Star of the Week award in recognition of her hard work, enthusiasm and fantastic progress.

Well done also to our Electric Guitar, Bass and Ukulele teacher, Mr M Potter (pictured), for his excellent support and tuition.

🌞🍕🍰 Year 6 had a fantastic week in school! 🍹
The children enjoyed a range of activities with Mrs Johnson, next year’s Year 6 teacher, including making pizzas 🍕, baking cakes 🧁 and creating their own drinks 🍹 to sell at school. Their hard work paid off, raising an impressive amount of money! 💰👏
They also had great fun playing at the recreation ground ⚽🌳 and finding ways to stay cool in the warm weather ☀️.
