Excellent day so far. Had a great lesson with a first timer/non-musician. She learnt quickly and is keen to continue. Lesson booked for next week.

Job done, first official lesson happened earlier today. The learner has re-booked for future lessons and gone away happy.

Well hello!!

I see I have 43 followers already, and all from my personal page friends list. I’ll get up and running and then go live to the wider world. I pressed the button that said ‘invite all friends’ or something like that, so 700+ invites have gone out to 700+ people that won’t be wanting piano lessons 😀😀

I know several awesomely good musicians; 2 of which are in here already and that’s gonna make me feel moderately intimidated if/when I decide to post anything that shows me fumbling about on a piano keyboard. Maybe I’ll just stick to words for now.

I’m setting out as a piano teacher (obviously) and will prefer to teach grown ups. People that are retired maybe. They’ll be beginners who want a good basis from me to work on and to find passion for their new hobby.

I aim to instill fun into the lessons and confidence into my learners. I want them to grasp some basics and then decide which path they might want to take after that eg classical or popular etc. I’ll avoid teaching ‘grades’ to adults. I don’t think they’ll want to suffer such torture and I also think the grades are a real turn-off for most people.
