This week, our babies have enjoyed making the most of the lovely weather with lots of fun outdoor water play and painting activities. They loved splashing, exploring the water and getting creative with colourful paints, using their senses to investigate and discover through play. These experiences encouraged their curiosity, confidence and creativity while providing plenty of opportunities to explore the world around them and express themselves in their own unique ways. Our activities supported the EYFS areas of Expressive Arts and Design, as the children explored colour, texture, and creative mark-making, and Understanding the World, as they investigated water, the outdoor environment, and the changes they observed through their play. It has been a wonderful week full of laughter, exploration, and meaningful learning in the sunshine. βοΈπ¦π¨π

Today has been an exciting and memorable day as we celebrate the last day for some of our Little Beans children that are going off to big school and Rebecca who is on her next adventure. To mark the occasion, we have enjoyed a fun-filled pirate-themed day packed with exciting activities.
The children have shown great enthusiasm as they designed and created their own pirate hats and eye patches, developing their creativity and fine motor skills while proudly sharing their unique creations with their friends.
In our water play, the children have had lots of fun taking part in a pirate "walk the plank" activity. They eagerly balanced, splashed, and got their feet wet, enjoying the cooling water while building confidence, coordination, and balance. There have been plenty of smiles, laughter, and imaginative pirate adventures throughout the day.
We will finish our special celebration with a pirate party, where everyone can come together to dance, play games, and celebrate the wonderful memories made together. It has been a fantastic way to end this chapter, and we wish all of our Little Beans children and Rebecca every success and happiness in their next adventures.

Our babies had a wonderful time exploring two engaging tuff trays, one with farm animals and one with water and ocean animals. As they explored, we talked about the different animals, the sounds they make, and where they live, encouraging early communication and language skills. The babies enjoyed using their senses to investigate different textures while developing their fine motor skills through picking up, moving, and exploring the animals. This activity supports the EYFS by promoting Communication and Language through listening and responding to animal sounds and new vocabulary and Understanding the World as the children began to learn about different animals and their habitats, all through fun, play-based learning. πππ π

π This week our babies have been enjoying activities based on the story βThat's Not My Beeβ.
The children loved sharing the story together, exploring the different textures and joining in with familiar words and sounds. This supports their Communication and Language development by encouraging listening, attention, and early language skills. ππ
The babies then got creative making their own bees, helping to develop their Physical Development through fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and mark-making opportunities.π¨ποΈ
Our bee-themed tuff tray provided a wonderful sensory experience, encouraging the children to explore, investigate, and use their senses to discover new textures and materials. These activities support Understanding the World as children learn about the environment around them, while also promoting Personal, Social and Emotional Development through curiosity, confidence, and independent exploration.
It has been a fantastic week full of learning, creativity, and sensory fun as the children have been busy buzzing around exploring all things bee-related! ππ

Afterwards, we spent time in the library garden singing songs and nursery rhymes, encouraging lots of smiles, interaction, and participation. Experiences like these help to support children's communication and language skills, build confidence in social situations, spark curiosity about the world around them, and foster a love of books, music, and learning through play. We had a fantastic morning making memories with our friends and enjoying our local community! πΆππ
