✨ WELCOME TO AK ACADEMY OF DANCING ✨

Take a little tour around our home… 💖

Four purpose-built studios, a huge variety of classes, and most importantly, a place where hundreds of dancers come through our doors every week to learn, grow and do what they love. 🖤✨

Proudly established in 1992, we’ve continued to grow while always keeping the same values at the heart of our Academy.

🏆 We believe in setting the standards, not following them.

Come and take a look around… 👀✨

✨ THE JOURNEY BEFORE AK DANCE… ✨

Before AK Academy of Dancing was established in 1992, there was an incredible journey behind it.

Our Senior Director, Andrea Knowles, travelled the world as a professional dancer, eventually finishing her performing career as a soloist can-can dancer at the world-famous Moulin Rouge in Paris, sharing the stage with some truly iconic names along the way.

That lifetime of professional experience, discipline and passion became the foundations on which AK was built — values that we are incredibly proud to still pass on to our students today. ❤️

From the world’s biggest stages… to generations of dancers at AK.

What a fantastic week at our FAIR OAK branch! 💖✨

Our Junior Disco Freestyle, Rock’n’Roll and Street dancers are already bringing so much energy, enthusiasm and confidence to their classes — and we absolutely love watching this little branch grow! 🖤💛

At AK, it’s about so much more than learning to dance… friendships, confidence, fun and skills for life. 🌟

🏆 AK ACADEMY OF DANCING — OUR 2026 NATIONAL FINALISTS 🏆

We don’t always shout loudly enough about what happens behind the doors of AK Academy of Dancing… but sometimes you have to stop, take stock and celebrate what your students have achieved 💛

Following the completion of the 2026 qualifying season, we are incredibly proud to have achieved:

✨ 48 Set Dance Qualifiers
✨ 30 Rock’n’Roll Pairs Qualifiers
✨ 19 Street Solo Qualifiers
✨ 3 Qualifying Teams

All heading to the ISTD DFR National Finals 2026! 🏆

What makes us particularly proud is that so many of these dancers are home grown. They have walked through our doors as little ones, learnt their foundations with us, trained week after week and progressed through the competitive ranks to earn their place at Nationals.

These results aren’t achieved overnight. They come from consistent training, strong foundations, dedicated teachers, supportive families and, most importantly, incredibly hardworking dancers.

Since 1992, AK has been committed to giving dancers opportunities to learn, progress, compete and achieve at the highest level - while remaining part of the AK family.

To every dancer who qualified, every dancer who competed throughout the season, every parent behind them for your support and our incredible teachers for their continuous hard work:

This is something to be incredibly proud of. 💛

Now it’s time for AK to take on the National Finals 2026! 🏆✨
