🏃 Congratulations to Agglestone House on winning Sports Day again—despite the best efforts of Purbeck (2nd) and Kimmeridge/Wealden (joint 3rd). Well done to all those who took part! The conditions were not easy with the sun blazing down on the parched yellow grass. Once again, participation was key to success. Every student who takes part is adding points to their House’s final points tally. Mr Hodge and his Agglestone students completed a deserved victory lap around the field at the end of a memorable day. Our thanks to our amazing PE team for their excellent organisation of the event and all the staff and 6th form students who helped to run the many and diverse events on offer. Mr Laishley did a great job starting every race. This was his last ever Sports Day. We thank him for his service and commitment to sport and to the school in general. We wish him a long, happy and healthy retirement!

🌟 On Tuesday, our Year 12s enjoyed our annual Sixth Form Sports Day. This sports day is a little different to a normal one - students compete as tutor groups and gain points through an egg and spoon race, sack racing, a fancy dress sprint, and more wacky races! All of this with the help of some delicious ice cream, fresh from the ice cream van! A fun day had by all!

👏 Today, we invited the whole school to come together on the lawn in front of the Pavilion to celebrate our Year 10 girls' football team becoming National Champions!

We would like to congratulate the girls on their hard-fought victory against a very strong, talented team from Newcastle last Monday. We are sure their incredible achievement will serve as an inspiration to younger players for years to come!

It was definitely a day that will not be forgotten!
