EPA SPOTLIGHT 🔦: Meet Liz Wall from our Francesco Hair Bridle Road salon, who recently completed her Level 3 apprenticeship with Francesco Group Apprenticeships , officially becoming a fully qualified hairdresser! 🎉 Her eccentric styles didn’t just impress during her 3rd Year End Point Assessment, which was complimented on by Francesco himself, but also earned her a spot as a guest artist on the Spotlight mentoring programme during her training - Liz had the opportunity to work alongside Francesco Hair Salon education icons .hair and during her training. Let’s dive into Liz’s final End Point Assessment collection with a Q&A! ✨

Q: Could you talk us through your final collection? What inspired the styles and choices you made for your model?
A: The inspiration for my collection came from a lamp! I found this whimsical orange and green lamp on Pinterest that looked like a flower, and I loved how the colours flowed like petals. I wanted to bring that fairy-like vibe into my collection with flowers and those colours. 🌸✨

Q: What was the most challenging part of the end-point assessment for you, and how did you manage to overcome it?
A: The professional discussion was the hardest part! I’m not the best at talking under pressure, but I kept reading over my presentation until I felt confident in how I wanted to come across.

Q: Could you highlight any specific techniques or skills you showcased in your final collection that you're particularly proud of?
A: I’m really proud of the simple yet striking cut! Plus, the way the orange blends into the green with the bespoke shaping feels very on-trend for 2024. 🧡💚

Q: How did you find the overall experience of preparing for and completing the EPA?
A: It was nerve-wracking because the assignment was so broad, but that also gave me the freedom to explore my ideas. Finding a model to let me experiment was the hardest part, but I’m really pleased with how it turned out!

Q: Now that you're a fully qualified hairdresser, what’s next for you?
A: I want to continue learning and growing as much as possible and eventually become a Wella Colour Expert! 🌟
