Tuesday class Halloween Social

This week I closed the doors on Moonlight Shufflers Line dancing classes. I started my classes in Hampshire in 2004 and then started again in 2015 when I moved back to my home town of Poole. It was a difficult decision to close my classes but my creaking joints have started to complain more. It has been a lot of fun, lots of new friends have been made and I will still be line dancing socially!

This week my class members came together for Halloween socials (Photos to follow) and we had a lot of fun, a few sad faces and lots of love and kindness given to me along with many gifts. I have received several bunches of beautiful flowers, lots of chocolates and some wine, a diamond cut vase engraved with Moonlight Shufflers, a personalised (large) wine glass, a bracelet and various gift vouchers for different establishments which was so generous, amounting to around £200 in total. I was stunned!

We held a raffle and a total of £100 will be sent to Cancer Research UK.

From the end of October I will no longer be running line dance classes, due to personal reasons. The 2pm Improvers class at Canford Heath Community Centre will continue with Instructor Sue Williams. Unfortunately, the Beginners class at Canford Heath Community Centre and Bearwood Community Centre on Wednesdays will be closing.

I have been running Moonlight Shufflers Line Dancing for 21 years, but I will still be line dancing and look forward to seeing lots of my ex class members at socials.

Tuesday and Wednesday classes resume tomorrow, looking forward to seeing you all.😀

Moonlight Shufflers classes are closed for one week. Classes will resume on Tuesday 2nd and Wednesday 3rd September.

Two beginner sessions were well supported with a full floor of dancers really enjoying themselves.

Last week after three weeks without classes due to my injury, we finally held our Red Nose Day Cake Bake Fundraiser social. We started dancing with easy peasy dances to break everybody back in gently. It was a fun afternoon of line dancing and cakes! A couple of videos will follow this post for A Bar Song and Skinny Genes.

There were some very yummy cakes to be eaten! Thank you to all my dancers from my Tuesday and Wednesday classes who donated raising a final total of £200!
