Little tip for today.

When you go to sing a note try not to scoop up to it to find it. Listen and aim to land straight on it. Sometimes just sensing slightly above the note will also help you settle on to it too. 😊

One of my students loves to sing in different languages. A French song was the order of today’s lesson. Working through the high long sustained notes using good technique.
Often I’ll demonstrate on an isolated section of the song and I must admit my pronunciation is shocking but we seem to get there lol!

I’ve been working with a student today who has their first band rehearsal. We did a session beforehand using all the PA and getting used to the mic technique and the amplified sound. Learning how to set up the sound and how to be aware of what the voice is doing in a band situation. It’s a whole new ball game going from singing acoustically to singing with a band. Building up stamina in the right way for healthy singing.
