In just a few weeks, Rockley will be hosting a party to celebrate its 50th anniversary. We cannot wait to bring people together from both the past and present to celebrate this milestone year. We know that many of you are really looking forward to reuniting up with old friends and reminiscing about the days before marriages and children! With five decades to reflect on, we’re not quite sure an evening will be enough time to catch up on everything, but we’ll give it a good go!

Over the past few months, many of you have been digging out old photos and sharing them with us - we’ve spent a lot of time taking a trip down memory lane and not actually doing our jobs!

We look forward to celebrating 50 years in an industry that has seen its share of challenges and change, and to recognising all the people that have been such an important part of Rockley’s journey thus far.

The beginning of June saw approximately 18 local Dorset schools - approximately 130 pupils, come together at Poole Park Lake to take part in the annual ‘Can Do’ Festival, hosted by Rockley in partnership with Active Dorset.

The event is designed to provide primary and secondary age pupils the opportunity to get on the water, build confidence, and have fun while trying to achieve their personal best in a variety of water-based activities. It’s all about encouraging participation in a supportive and non-competitive environment.

Thank you to all the pupils who took part in our Primary and Secondary Active Dorset Dorset School Games. Events like these simply wouldn't be possible without the enthusiasm of the pupils, and the support of teachers who are willing to take pupils out of school to experience a fantastic day of water-based activities.

A great deal of planning and organisation goes into delivering this free event, but it is absolutely worthwhile when we see so many pupils enjoying themselves on the water.

Congratulations to everyone who received a medal for demonstrating teamwork, passion, honest, respect or determination, however, we all know that it is absolutely a team effort - something that was clearly demonstrated over the two days!😀

A huge thank you to all the Rockley staff and first-year college students who helped make yesterday’s Active Dorset Dorset School Games such a success. Nearly 100 primary school children from local schools took part, enjoying a fantastic range of water-based activities throughout the day. We really do have the best team!
