Congratulations to all Year 13 students from Lytchett Minster School celebrating the completion of their A Levels this week!

We wish you all the best of luck going forward, and are especially proud of Phoebe Sutton: our Y13 Star Student for STEM. She will continue with higher education supported by the Council's STEM Award Scheme.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT NOTICE, DORCHESTER ROAD, LYTCHETT MINSTER

This Notice will enable Dorset Council safe access to carry out footway extension and pedestrian buildout to support highway improvements. It will also incorporate new surfacing and road markings (lining).

Important Visitor Notice - water discolouration found in stream and Grove Lake has been reported to The Environment Agency.

Update on Gypsy and Traveller Encampment at Upton Recreation Ground
We can report that the encampment has now moved on without the Council and Police having to go down the legal route.
Initial inspections show that there has been very little damage apart from a significant repair to the gate at Oakley Gardens which will be actioned ASAP.

We are aware of an unauthorised presence of gypsies and travellers on Upton Recreation Ground. We have made the police aware and are liaising with Dorset Council to move the encampment along.

There is a legal process that has to be followed and we have submitted a formal request to Dorset Police that this commences immediately.

Please note that we will be monitoring all messages and relaying information to the Police where necessary. The best way for residents to log concerns is to email the Police on [email protected].

The Town Council will continue to provide regular updates as and when the situation develops.
