🦑 Tuna Purse Fishing – Annual Squid Fishing Competition! 🦑🎣

This weekend, Tuna Purse Fishing entered the annual squid fishing competition in Weymouth, hosted by Dorset Lure Centre, with help and advice from Squid Fishing Techniques – Advice & Catch Reports UK.

⏰ Start: 7:30am on the water
⏰ Finish: 4:00pm

The squid started coming out fast and thick, but unfortunately, it didn't last and things soon went quiet!

But then the cuttlefish turned up in force! 😂 There was an absolutely insane amount of cuttle being caught throughout the day.

On board Tuna Purse were Warren, Ryan and Matt, and it was hard going for pretty much the whole day. The squid certainly didn't want to play ball...
But the cuttlefish basically said:

“Hold my beer.” 🍺😂

🏆 And then came the result...

Matthew Alexander TAKES 1ST PLACE! 🥇

Another win for Tuna Purse Fishing! 🎣🔥
A massive thank you to everyone who entered and to the organizers for putting on a great competition. At the end of the day, the most important thing was that everyone had a brilliant time, plenty of laughs were had, and there were smiles all round.
Great day, great company, and another win for the Tuna Purse! 💪🦑🎣

Again big thanks to Jason Andrews Riddell Kev Jack and Adam for some reson we cant tag then in.

No matter how many times you see these guys it never gets old!

You never know what you’ll see when you’re out on the water fishing, amazing to watch!

Plenty of these about too, not as big as we’d of hoped but it is still early in the season, with the bigger squid turning up later normally!

As some of you may remember we did a little competition for a £50 voucher at either Wessex angling or Poole Sea Angling a while back now, and our winner was GoinFishing.

Kenny Turner was kind enough to donate this prize to a keen young angler named Joe 🙌🏽

Wessex angling was the chosen venue for the vouchers, massive thanks Neil Cooke for adding an extra few vouchers to bump the prize amount up too 👏🏽

Congratulations Joe, Thanks Kenny and Neil

It’s that time of the year when everyone’s out hunting down the kraken 🦑 after having a chat with C Weights Tackle about his jigs, a purchase was made, can’t wait to get out this week to give these jigs a bash!!

If you haven’t had a look at Craig’s stuff then I’d highly recommend it, the quality is outstanding, service is spot on and he’s a really decent chap, answered all my questions without any hassle, cheers mate 🙌🏽
