I teach and coach young people, parents and schools about resilience and wellbeing. There's a simple logic to how our minds really work.

We are all innately ok, even when it doesn't seem like it. Seeing the truth of this is empowering and life changing.

We all have innate resilience. We all have innate wellbeing. We just often don't understand how our minds work and that leads to a lot of confusion. The iheartprinciples resilience tutoring programme helps young people to understand why they think feel and behave the way they do. We teach our children reading, writing and maths but we don't teach them how their own minds work - the very thing which is navigating our lives constantly. If you know a young person who needs support, share this video and or get in touch.

Would anyone be interested in free one to one resilience tutoring for a young person aged between 9-18?

This would involved one on one teaching of the full iheart curriculum online.

11 lessons of an hour in which a young person can learn that about how their mind works and why they think, feel and behave the way they do.

This power of this learning is in helping a young person to uncover more of the natural resilience that already there within them.

If interested, please DM me.

What if the children you care for or teach knew and understood that they are already resilient?

Returning to school.... wearing a mask... lateral flow testing.... missed learning.... none of these things can have a huge impact on our children when they know that they have the built in capacity to cope.

I teach the iheart course Iheart Principles - Mental health and wellbeing for young people (noted by OFSTED in item below) to schools in the DORSET area and to young people and their families online.

Now more than ever our young people need to be shown that they have everything they need inside them to handle life.

Ofsted identifies the impact of iheart 📈

Samson Olusanya, Headteacher at a secondary school in North London shares, “in a short time, the impact of the iheart programme has been significant enough to merit an inspection team noting its specific impact on the wellbeing of pupils of our school.”

The recent report by OFSTED states, “The iheart initiative in Year 9 helps pupils cope with pressure and develop resilience.”

Ofsted – Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills – is the UK Governing Body, responsible for inspecting a range of educational institutions, including state schools and some independent schools.

The focus of all my teaching, coaching, discussions is on mental HEALTH, hence the name of my new website and page.

There is a simple logic to the way our pyschological system works that very few people are aware of. Fundamentally we all have mental HEALTH and that is really good news!

It often appears to us that we have 'lost' our mental health or are somehow broken. When life feels tough and we are struggling or suffering we can fall into despair and hopelessness if it seems that the problem is us.

Thankfully the problem is never 'us'. Our mental HEALTH cannot be lost or broken. That is the equivalent of saying that the sun can be lost or broken.

Clearly we can lose sight of our wellbeing just as we lose sight of the sun when it is covered by clouds, but it has never actually gone anywhere and neither has our wellbeing.

Because we understand that the sun is still there, on a cloudy rainy day, we don't stress too much. We may not like it but we don't ruminate and fret and worry that the sun will never come back. We just go about getting on with our day and trust that the sun will reappear when it does.

So too with our mental health. We may not always feel 'great', but we always have the capacity to sense our wellbeing again.

There's a simple explanation for why we don't feel a sense of peace in any given moment and that is what I love to teach and share with others, especially young people, their families and their teachers.

If you know of anyone who you think might be interested in finding out more, please share my page with them, particularly those in the education world.

Just think about it - what would life be like for young people if they knew and understood that they are always ok, no matter what is going on in their life. There is always sunshine in their heart, even if they can't feel it right now. There is resilience and hope despite the circumstances.

This is what iheart shares and this is what I share. So come along on Monday to the free conference to find out more.
