The Samaritans have a close family connection and have supported Mrs Halls over the last year to help her find her true self again.
Some Year 12 students have also decided to run as part of a training programme put together for one of their Extended Project Qualifications.
"Every penny counts if you can add to our fundraising we thank you, as do the people who need the essential support from the Bournemouth branch." -Mrs Halls

🧬 Inspiring the next generation of women in STEM! 🔬
On Tuesday, 14th July, Mr. Barrett (Deputy Academic Director for Science & STEM Lead) accompanied 15 of our most able female scientists to Bournemouth University for an incredible, hands-on day of discovery.
Our students stepped into the shoes of real-world scientists. They began the day in BU's fantastic, state-of-the-art facilities, mastering micro-pipetting techniques to separate food colouring via gel electrophoresis, before learning how DNA fingerprinting is used to solve paternity and criminal cases.
Later, they toured the forensics department to explore evidence gathering and blood spatter analysis. After a well-deserved lunch in the Fusion Building, the group visited the bone lab for a deeply powerful talk from forensic anthropologist Sam, who shared insights into his vital work in disaster zones and mass graves.
Our students headed home with plenty of inspiration for the future. As always, they represented Magna Academy fantastically, receiving glowing feedback from the BU staff throughout the day. We hope this experience inspires these brilliant minds to pursue amazing careers in the sciences! 🌟

What an incredible few days for our Year 7 students at Corfe Castle! 🏰✨.
Our young historians have been bringing their lessons to life, exploring the ruins and diving deep into the past. From the Norman Conquest and the reign of King John to the dramatic events of the English Civil War under Charles I, they've truly walked in the footsteps of history. 🛡️
