🌟 Learning Through Collaboration 🌟

Our progression students in Foundation were invited to a special buffet lunch, beautifully prepared and served by our talented Catering and Hospitality students. 🍽️✨

It was a lovely afternoon and a wonderful experience for our learners, not only enjoying a great meal, but also seeing the fantastic skills their peers are developing.

We are so proud of our LEAP student Harrison who has been completing his work Placement at Pizza Hut in Bournemouth. This week he has been awarded the 'Best of me' award AND 'the best of us' award by Pizza Hut for his amazing contribution to the staff team. (Best of me is being the best you can be everyday, Best of Us is showing kindness and willingness to help your fellow teammates)

Harrison was initially adamant that he only wanted to work in the kitchen but is now at front of house clearing tables, laying tables, restocking the salad bar and more! He has truly pushed himself out of his comfort zone. Well done Harrison!

Our Foundation STEPS and LEAP students Bournemouth and Poole College enjoyed a wonderful performance of Cinderella today by Theatre. Students loved taking part in the performance with plenty of singing and dancing. A completely inclusive performance. https://www.treehousetheatre.com/

Foundation STEPS students and Poole College working hard at The Crumbs Project helping to create a beautiful garden as part of their group work experience. A great opportunity to get involved in other community projects.

this week some of our STEPs students have been the very first to participate in the new Digital Immersive room at North Rd.
It was fantastic, and had some great programmes such as shopping, under the sea, mindfulness art, alien attack, spot the dangers and spot the difference.
All of the students were engaged in the practical nature of the programmes and it was a great learning opportunity.
Amazing resources at Bournemouth and Poole College

Our LEAP students Bournemouth and Poole College have been very busy developing their teamwork skills to create an amazing outdoor space for the SNAX Cafe on our Poole site. Researching, planting, growing seeds, making clay ornaments and even putting picnic benches together. They have been truly inspiring. Great work - We are nearly there!

We are really proud of our Foundation student Megan Harling who took up Wrestling 9 months ago and this is all she now talks about, she is doing so well. Congratulations Megan. Bournemouth and Poole College

NOVEMBER STUDENT OF THE MONTH

We are over the moon to announce that the student of the month for November is the Megastorm herself Megan Harling!

Megan has improved massively not just this month but since the start of her wrestling journey. She struggled with the basics to begin with but now has some of the best rolls in the club and has nailed her flat back bumps.

She always puts a smile on everyone’s face when she comes along to the sessions and is a really kind hearted and talented young lady.

Well done Megan you deserve it!

Our Foundation students have made an amazing poppy wreath to remember all those that have fought in wars to protect our freedom. It looks amazing.

Some fabulous work done by our Foundation LEAP students Bournemouth and Poole College this week. Volunteering at Canford Heath with the BCP council wardens. Great work!

Students from Foundation LEAP Bournemouth and Poole College have been doing some great work again at Hope HTS buyonegiveonesoap This time making some lovely Christmas candles. Many thanks to Megan and Julie for all your support. We all loved it.
