💚 A huge thank you to everyone who came along and supported our Open Day at Pontypool Snowsports!

It was great to see so many of you trying our ski lessons and tubing sessions, having fun and giving something new a go. ⛷️🛟

We hope to welcome you back very soon! Keep building your confidence and skills with our beginners and improvers ski lessons, or join us for more fun with our tubing sessions and parties.

🌙 Wednesday & Friday evenings: 7pm–9pm
☀️ Saturday & Sunday mornings: 10am–12pm

🎉 Huge congratulations to Simon on passing his Snowsport England Level 3 Development Coach assessment!

He’s put so much work into it over the past 12 months, and it’s thoroughly deserved. Simon is also a Level 2 moguls instructor and is available for private ski lessons at Pontypool Snowsports.

🎿 Is your school planning a ski trip this winter?

Give your pupils a head start with ski lessons at Pontypool Snowsports. We can arrange sessions during the school day or after school for complete beginners and students who have skied before.

Pupils can build confidence, get used to their equipment and the lift, and practise turning, speed control and skiing safely as a group. That could mean less time on the nursery slopes and more time enjoying the mountain with their friends.

Can’t make a school session? We also offer private and group lessons at weekends and on selected weekday evenings.

Pontypool Snowsports is now open every Wednesday from 4pm to 9pm, offering:

🎿 Recreational skiing and snowboarding
🎿 Private ski lessons
🎿 Beginner sessions
🎿 Improver sessions

Enjoy skiing under the floodlights—as it gets darker, the slope runs even better!

Come along for an evening on the slopes, whether you want to practise, improve your technique or learn from the beginning.

📣 PONTYPOOL SNOWSPORTS OPEN DAY — SOLD OUT!

We’re looking forward to welcoming you! It’s going to be a busy day, so please take a moment to read the information below and plan your journey before setting off.

🚗 PARKING
Please park at Pontypool Active Living Centre and enjoy the walk through the park to the ski slope. Pontypool Park is traffic-free, so there is no vehicle access to the slope. Remember to allow time for parking and walking up.

⏰ ARRIVAL & CHECK-IN
Please arrive at the slope 20 minutes before your booked slot and check in when you get here. With a full schedule, we’ll need to start sessions on time, so arriving late will mean missing your slot.

🧤 WHAT TO WEAR
For all activities, including tubing, please wear long sleeves, long trousers and gloves. Gloves and ski socks will be available to buy at the slope.

⛑️ HELMETS
Everyone skiing or snowboarding will need to wear a helmet. If one isn’t available straight away, please bear with us until one is returned.

🎿 RECREATIONAL SESSIONS
These sessions are only for skiers and snowboarders who meet our minimum standards: you must be able to link turns, control your speed and use the lift independently.

The beginner area is reserved for lessons only.
