Next Traditional Story: Jack and the Beanstalk.

🐮🌱🌞🥾🍽️🪚

Part 1 - We have made the most of the beautiful weather we are finally having and spent a lot of time in the garden! Planting our own ‘magic beans’, some pretty flowers and some vegetables and herbs in the allotment pots. We’ve talked all about what is needed to help them grow and are giving them a good water reguarly too. 🪴🌸🌼🫛🥬🍓🥕

We have also painted and collaged beanstalks and beans, made tall playdough beanstalks, cut out and size ordered beanstalks and enjoyed a matching story characters activity. 🌱😀X

Next book : The 3 Little Pigs’. Part 1. 🐷🐷🐷

The building site role play area for the children to pretend to be piggies and build their own houses was a big hit! They also loved
painting pigs, potato stamping hoof prints, curly tail pencil formations, observatonal drawing, sorting piggies by size and exploring things beginning with ‘p’ . Pink sensory play, playdough, lots of block play and construction toys and making yummy pizzas! And a fab physical literacy retell of the story too and we got very excited playing ‘Whats the time Mr Wolf?’ ⏰

Not to mention some serious huffing and puffing… 🥵😄 x

Part 1: the last of a week of exciting events! The children’s costumes and pyjamas were fantastic!

We shared her favourite story books with each other, made book matks to take home, enjoyed a variety of Gruffalo and The Hungry Caterpillar activities involving cutting , sticking, painting, printing… We also had a fab Gruffalo themed tuff spot (our absolute fav story!) , hat making and a delicious story themed afternoon tea! The children really loved guessing the story characters that their aunties were dressed up as too! What a memorable day. 🥰 x

🥞🥣Pancake Day 2025 at nursery! 🥣🥞

And what a delicious day it was! We followed a recipe, made pretend pancakes in the sensory tub exploring all the ingredients, had pancake races in the garden, made playdough pancakes, designed our own by painting, cutting and sticking our choices of toppings. We also sorted and ordered pancakes by size and enjoyed the story of ‘Mr Wolf’s Pancakes’. 🐺🥞

But most importantly of all -we LOVED eating them! Yum! ❤️😋😋😋 x

❤️💚🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Dydd Gwyl Dewi Hapus! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿💚❤️

Yesterday we celebrated st Davids day at nursery. We had a welsh themed menu for the day which included leek and potato caws, bara brith, welsh rarebit and of course yummy welsh cakes. 😋🍪

We made paper daffodils, welsh flags, fluffy sheep, wooden spoon red dragons, decorated daffodil biscuits, sang welsh songs including our favourite ‘Cennin Pedir’. We watched power points to learn all about St David, did welsh themed number activities , threaded harps, tried painting with leeks and explored all things welsh in the sensory tuff spot. 🐑🌼⛪️

And all whilst dressed in fabulous welsh outfits and traditional costumes! What a lovely day! Bendigedig! 😃🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 x
