So the last time I auditioned for a principle role in a show, was for Julie Johnston in Bad girls in 2012. I tried to audition for something somwhere along the line since then and was actively encouraged to do so, but the song was too high for me and unfortunately the person who encouraged it, felt to have sly sniggers at my expense.
Since working with the cast of Frankenstein I have learnt a great deal about myself and my capabilities. I have also had 2 of my class ladies share things with me about themselves taking big steps in their own lives- one went for an interview and one stood up for herself and others in their work environment.....and I used all of that to pluck up the courage to audition once again. Granted it was just a lib audition, but im no actor..... im just proud of myself for actually doing it. I got myself there, and it did it.
I dont even care that I was the only one auditioning for the part..... genuinely neither here or there. I did it. So..... you are looking at Estelle in the stage production of the Full Monty which will be at the Congress in cwmbran in October this year 🥰❤️ yay me.
