⭐ Welsh Word of the Week ⭐

With Halloween just around the corner, we thought it would be the perfect opportunity to introduce a new Welsh word to the children 🧸

This week, our Welsh word is Pwmpen, which means Pumpkin 🎃

Throughout the week, we’ll be encouraging the children to learn and use this lovely Welsh word through our exciting Halloween invitations, messy play, songs, stories and everyday conversations. 🥰

We can’t wait to see the children having lots of spooky fun while learning a little Welsh along the way 🧡

This week, our Welsh word is Shwmae, which means Hello 👋🏼

As we’re celebrating Shwmae Day, we thought it was the perfect opportunity to introduce the children to this lovely Welsh greeting 🥰🤍

We’ll be using Shwmae throughout the week during our play, songs, stories and everyday conversations, encouraging the children to hear and use Welsh naturally. We’re also inviting the children to wear something red to help us celebrate Shwmae Day together ❤️

Welsh Government funded childcare for 2-year-olds is now available to all eligible children.

If your little one is already 2 years old, they are entitled to 12.5 hours of Welsh Government funded childcare each week

Flying start Childcare has now been expanded and all two year olds should get an offer for 12.5 hours a week, after their second birthday until they are 3. You should receive a letter in the post.
