Just a few days into the trail, and some of our intrepid explorers have already hopped to the finish line! 🐰🏆

We were delighted to meet Cath and Edward, who travelled all the way from Birmingham to take part in .

They popped into Trail HQ at the space by St Oswald’s Hospice in Ouseburn to collect their finisher certificates and stickers. A huge congratulations to them, and to everyone else who has completed the trail or is well on their way to finding all 96 Peter Rabbit sculptures! Everybun is doing an amazing job! 🙌

Year 6 had a fantastic day of activities at Whickham Thorns activity centre on Monday - a final school trip for our Year 6 children!

Over the last few weeks both Year 5 classes have taken part in a community litter pick in Ponteland as part of their Archbishop Young Leaders Award. The children worked alongside Ponteland Anti Litter Squad (PALS) to help keep our community clean and tidy. If you are interested in helping volunteer with PALS please see the attached flyer for their upcoming litter pick events in Ponteland.

We had a delightful group joining me for a slice of chocolate cake in Shine Time Tea this afternoon. We played some word definition games where we guessed the meaning of some older words. The children had to decide the meaning of 'snicket'.

a) The name of the hissing sound that a snake makes
b) A large type of spatula used for flipping pancakes
c) A small, narrow footpath that often goes inbetween hedges or a wall

This sharp witted group were correct!

We enjoyed singing at Vimy Ridge Canadian WW1 Memorial to pay our respects. 🇫🇷🇨🇦Such a memorable occasion for us all.
