🌟 Welcome to the team Gina! 🌟

We’re delighted to introduce Gina, our new Kitchen Assistant, who has joined our wonderful in-house chef Nikki in the nursery kitchen! 👩‍🍳💕

As Park Farm continues to grow we knew Nikki needed an extra pair of hands in the kitchen and Gina has perfectly stepped into the role! With her fantastic background and qualifications in catering, Gina brings lots of experience, knowledge and passion for creating delicious food for our children. 🥰

Working alongside Nikki, Gina will be helping to prepare and cook all of the yummy, nutritious meals our children enjoy each day, whilst also making sure we can carefully cater for our children’s different allergies, dietary requirements and individual preferences. 🍎🥕🍝

Please join us in giving Gina a very warm welcome to Park Farm! 👋🏼✨

We're looking for an Evening Cleaning Assistant to join our team.

🕕 Monday–Friday | 6pm–8pm
💰 £12.75+ per hour
🚗 Due to our location, your own transport is essential.

No experience is necessary – just someone who's reliable, hardworking and takes pride in what they do. It's a great opportunity to earn some extra money while working around childcare, school, college or university.

🌈✨ A Huge Thank You! ✨🌈

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our Preschool Leavers’ Party! We had the best time celebrating our wonderful preschoolers as they get ready for their next big adventure, Reception! 🏫✨

We had so much fun with bracelet making, glitter tattoos, decorating our very own rainbows and, of course, bouncing all over the place on the bouncy castle! 🎉

We even had a very special surprise visit from Faith, which made the celebrations even more memorable! 🥰

We are so proud of each and every one of our preschool leavers and can’t wait to see all the amazing things you achieve in your next chapter. 💫

We’ve been learning all about the Solar Eclipse!

This week, our children have been exploring what a solar eclipse is and learning about the amazing way the Moon moves between the Earth and the Sun. They have been so excited to discover what happens during an eclipse and have loved sharing their questions and ideas! 🔭✨

We’ve also been talking about the importance of protecting our eyes when watching an eclipse. The children have learned that we should never look directly at the Sun, even when it is partly covered, and that special certified eclipse glasses must be used with adult supervision. 👀🕶️

🌑 Want to see the eclipse for yourself?
Tomorrow, Wednesday 12th August, the partial solar eclipse will be visible across Newcastle upon Tyne.

🌞 Eclipse begins: 6:10pm
🌑 Best time to see it: 7:07pm
🌞 Eclipse ends: 8:01pm

At its maximum, around 90% of the Sun will be covered in Newcastle, making it a particularly exciting sight! ✨

It has been wonderful seeing the children’s curiosity, excitement and sense of wonder as they learn about the world around them! 🌍💫

A Huge Congratulations to Maddy! 👏🏻

A huge congratulations to Maddy on successfully completing her Level 2 Early Years qualification here at Park Farm Day Nursery! 🎉

We are incredibly proud of everything you have achieved! Your hard work throughout your apprenticeship has been fantastic to see and it's been wonderful watching your confidence and skills grow! ✨

Maddy is now considering taking the next step in her career by progressing onto her Level 3 qualification and we're excited to continue supporting her on her learning journey.

Thank you for all of your effort and for being such a valued member of the Park Farm team. We can't wait to see everything you continue to achieve in your early years career.

Across all of our nurseries, we're often asked why we don't hold traditional cap-and-gown graduations.

The answer is simple—it doesn't reflect our ethos.

We believe every child deserves to be celebrated as the individual they are. Rather than a formal graduation ceremony, we choose meaningful end-of-year celebrations that focus on memories, friendships, family and just how far each child has come.

This isn't about saying one approach is better than another—it's simply the approach that feels most authentic to our values and the experience we want to create for every child.

Today we say goodbye to our wonderful Deputy Room Lead, Millie!

Millie, thank you for everything you've brought to our preschool. Your kind nature, patience and creativity have made such a positive difference to the children, families and team. You've helped create a warm, nurturing environment where little ones have grown in confidence, learned through play and made so many happy memories.

Whilst we're sad to see you go, we're incredibly grateful for the time we've shared and everything you've contributed.

We wish you every success and happiness in your next adventure.
