Today we have been in Tonna binding together beautiful handmade paper that everyone has made from plants over the previous few weeks and turning them into books to keep.

We used the Japanese stab binding technique to gather single sheets of the plant paper, and we also tested out how a lino print worked on the paper too.

What is hapa zome? Lydia from Wild Heart Wales
will be guiding us through this practice as part of our Spring Seasonal event at Bryn Community Centre on Wednesday 20th May 2-4pm.

Hapa zome is an ancient Japanese art form using flowers and leaves to make prints on natural materials. I'll also be making a yummy soup!

This is a free session that's part of the Afan GP Cluster project. Anyone over 18 years of age and living in the Afan GP Cluster is welcome to attend.
