Coming this Friday!
We are excited to be celebrating Yellow Day this year on 9th October 2026. Yellow Day is all about promoting wellbeing and ensuring children have strategies to help them cope when they’re struggling with their feelings. In class, teachers will be supporting this by exploring ways to find happiness when things are tough.

To celebrate Yellow Day, we are inviting children to wear something yellow. This could be anything: yellow socks, a T-shirt, a hair band or even a full-on banana costume. Children may also wear their own clothes as part of the Yellow Day fun.

As a school, we are hoping to raise money to fund two ‘buddy benches’ for both the KS1 and KS2 playgrounds. Children who are feeling lonely at play time can sit on a buddy bench and other children will know that they’re looking for someone to play with and can invite them to join in. We hope that this will encourage new friendships and reduce the worries of playtime and not knowing what to do.

With our fundraising goal in mind, we are asking parents/carers to consider making a donation of up to £1 (or more if you wish) via Arbor to help us reach our target.

Donations can be made through the School Shop on Arbor under "Buddy Benches Donation".

To choose the amount you would like to donate, simply increase the quantity. For example:

Quantity 1 = £1.00
Quantity 5 = £5.00
Every donation, no matter how small, will help us provide Buddy Benches for our children.

Thank you for your support. We can’t wait to celebrate Yellow Day and make a difference in our school community. If you are able to help us source our buddy benches, please email [email protected]

PFA EGM – Emergency General Meeting

📅 Tuesday 29th September
⏰ 7pm
📍 School Hall

Everyone is welcome!

Come and join us for our first PFA meeting of the new school year.

We’re holding an Emergency General Meeting (EGM) to allow us to bring our Annual General Meeting (AGM) back to the beginning of the school year, helping us start the year with a fresh plan and new ideas.

This year will also be my final year as PFA Chair. Next year after 10 years of being PFA Chair, I’ll be stepping down as my youngest heads off to secondary school.

I have absolutely loved being part of such a wonderful school community and being involved in everything the PFA has achieved over the years. I will miss it dearly, but I also feel that the time is right for new beginnings, fresh ideas and new people to get involved — which can only be a positive thing for the PFA and the school.

There will be lots of exciting changes over the next couple of years, so if you’d like to find out more about how you can get involved, or perhaps take on a more prominent role within the PFA, please come along to the meeting or get in touch at:

📧 [email protected]

And please remember, there is never any pressure or expectation to commit to more than you can manage. My philosophy has always been “do what you can, when you can.” Every bit of help makes a difference, and it’s simply lovely to have more people involved in supporting our school.

So, if you can, please come along on Tuesday. If you can’t make it, just drop us an email to find out more or have a chat about how you could get involved.

We’d love to see you there! 💜
