I created this editable Collection of Social Stories About Starting Secondary School to help children understand what to expect, reduce anxiety and build confidence before they start their new school.

Developed using Social Stories™, STEP-ASD and TEACCH approaches, this practical resource is ideal for parents, carers, schools and professionals supporting children through this important transition.

Hi everyone, I’m Fiona and I’ve recently moved to Pocklington, so I wanted to introduce myself and my business, Rise Inclusion.

I’m a qualified Specialist Study Skills Tutor, Autism Mentor, Teacher and SEND and Inclusion Education Consultant with over 20 years’ experience supporting neurodivergent and disabled young people, students and adults.

I work mainly with individuals and families across education, employment and everyday life, providing specialist tutoring, mentoring and practical support for dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD, autism and other learning differences.

Support can include study skills, academic writing, planning, organisation, time management, confidence, independence, transitions, workplace strategies, self-advocacy and reasonable adjustment advice.

My approach is practical, person-centred and strengths-based, helping people understand how they learn, work and communicate best and what support helps them move forward.

I’m based locally in Pocklington and can offer support locally where possible, as well as online nationally.

Great training for parent and carers about send Law and young people (post 16) Highly recommend

Join us for our 'SEND law and young people (post-16)' training day on 27 January.

The training is delivered live via Zoom, and is designed specifically for parents/carers of children who are approaching or above compulsory school age (post-16).
