We’re recruiting Casual Residential Support Workers to join our teams across our children’s homes. With multiple homes within around a 30-mile radius, we regularly need additional support for annual leave, training, sickness and other cover.

This could be ideal if you’re looking for work around:

* family commitments

* studying
* other responsibilities
* or simply a lifestyle where you choose when you’re available

One residential shift can give you a substantial number of hours without committing to a permanent rota.

But casual doesn’t mean casual standards.

You’ll be supporting young people who may be experiencing some of the most difficult periods of their lives. We need people who are resilient, compassionate, dependable and willing to get involved.

You’ll receive training, work alongside experienced residential teams and have the opportunity to make a genuine difference — while keeping the flexibility you need.

🚨 **WE’RE RECRUITING – RESIDENTIAL SUPPORT WORKERS**

We’re not going to sell you an “easy” job. Because it isn’t one.

The young people we support are often going through some of the most difficult and intense periods of their lives. They need adults who can stay calm when things get tough, hold boundaries, get involved, have fun and – most importantly – **keep showing up.**

In return, we think we offer a pretty different way of working 👇

🏠 **2 days on, 3 days off**
💤 **Paid sleep-ins** – you are NOT awake for 48 hours
📅 **236 days off a year, including annual leave**
💷 Full-time, permanent 42-hour contracts
🚗 Live further away? Look at the rota before you rule us out
🎓 Full training and a whole team behind you

And we’re not only interested in people with years of care experience.

Two days on, three days off. All year round. Most people make 224 journeys to work a year — our staff make 64.

Guaranteed 42-hour contract. Paid sleep-ins on top. Accredited Real Living Wage.

So what's the job?
It's mountain biking. It's five-a-side. It's a lad who won't talk to anyone finally talking to you because you sat behind a drum kit with him. You get paid to do the things you'd do on your day off — with young people who've never been shown any of it exists.

And we'll be straight with you: it's not for everyone.

These young people have lived through trauma most adults couldn't imagine, and they're still going. They'll push back at every opportunity. You'll need to hold structure and boundaries anyway — and hold them with warmth.
It's demanding. It's challenging. It's also the most rewarding work you'll ever do.
