The Belcanto Academy Summer School with teacher and singer Chris Thornton-Holmes. Our aim is to make available classical tuition and music college/conservatoire preparation avoiding the need to spend time and huge amounts of money on a residential course in London. Chris has invited Kate McCarney, mezzo soprano, to join him from London in a five day intensive course devoted to English Song, French Chanson, German Lied and Italian Art Song. There will also be an opportunity to work on dialogue and presentation skills. At the end of the course students will be able to perform in an informal concert to demonstrate their vocal skills. Monday 5th to Friday 9th August 2019 10am to 4pm in the Music Hall of Pocklington School, YO42 2NJ £180 Age range 15-21 yrs
