A special recognition for Charlotte at our Sixth Form Prizegiving. 🏆

Charlotte was nominated by her Peter Jones Tycoon Enterprise Competition teammates for the Smailes Goldie Award, recognising the contribution she made to her team.

The competition is a great example of the opportunities available at Pocklington Sixth Form beyond the classroom. Alongside A Level and BTEC study, our students can get involved in activities that build confidence and develop real-world skills such as teamwork, communication, leadership, enterprise and problem-solving.

And what an achievement from Charlotte and her team - coming top for return on investment in a national business competition!

Congratulations to Emily, who will be studying Veterinary Nursing with a placement year - a brilliant next step after an outstanding set of A Level results.

Emily said: “Pocklington School has provided me with multiple opportunities, the South Africa Sports Tour being one of the most incredible. I leave School with many memories and amazing friends. I am grateful to the Sixth Form staff who have encouraged and supported me throughout my journey.”

Does your little one love to explore? 🌿 Come and join us for Outdoor Explorers, our free toddler group at Pocklington Prep School.

Starting Thursday 17 September 2026, we'll be getting together every Thursday during term time for children aged 0-4 and their parents and carers.

Our brand-new outdoor setting is the perfect place for little ones to explore, play and make new friends.

We know a little break goes a long way, so there'll be free tea or coffee for parents and carers too. ☕️

The group is free to attend, but places must be booked in advance.

⭐ Half of all 2026 grades awarded at 9-7
⭐ 48% of pupils achieved at least five grades at 9-7
⭐ More than a third (37%) achieved seven or more grades at 9-7.

A new chapter for James. 🎓

Following his A Level results, James is heading to Newcastle University to study Agri-Business, combining his interests in Agriculture and Economics.

Reflecting on his time at Pocklington, James said: “Pocklington has given me everything which has allowed me to take this next step. My experience here, with my friends, playing sport and living here for years within boarding, is what has made my time at Pock so special. Pocklington’s support and advice towards me regarding different options I had post A Levels has also been invaluable, and I am very excited with the decision I have made today!”

From cross country and rugby to hockey, swimming, netball, cricket and athletics, our pupils have embraced every opportunity to compete, challenge themselves and represent the School with pride.

Congratulations to our Class of 2026 on their amazing A Level and BTEC results!

⭐ 67% of A Level results graded A*-B
⭐ 66.7% of students achieved at least one grade A or A*
⭐ All BTEC outcomes were graded at Merit or above, and 84% of grades overall achieving a Distinction or Distinction* (equivalent to A/A*)
⭐ 96% of students have secured places at their chosen institutions

It won't be long until we welcome our newest Reception pupils to Pocklington Prep School. 💛

It was a pleasure to welcome children from Little Pips and other local pre-schools during the summer term as they completed their Passports to Prep.

From making new friends to exploring their new surroundings, they enjoyed lots of exciting experiences designed to help them feel happy, confident and ready for their Reception adventure.

We're delighted to say they've ticked off every challenge... and we know they're more than ready for September! We can't wait to welcome them back through our doors.
