Surviving A KNIFE Attack

Surviving A KNIFE Attack Cutting Edge Training in edged weapons defensive strategies. ABOUT SAKA

Surviving A Knife Attack or SAKA was founded by Anton St'James in 2017.

Prior to this Anton had been working for a number of years with Hank Hayes from No Lie Blades in America developing a Civilian NLB Programme. Due to various developments and commitments in the US Hank had to withdraw from the UK project. This is when Anton picked up the project and, with others who had undergone the original NLBUK training programme, began developing SAKA-UK. Our sole purpose is t

o educate members of the general public about the dangers of knife attacks and how best to deal with them. Unlike many edged weapons defence programmes SAKA deals with all areas of self-protection including, emergency first-aid response, injury prevention, situational/environmental awareness, code red survival skills and much, much more. Our mission is to provide to as many people as possible the highest quality knowledge, skills and training that will help them survive a potentially life threatening engagement with a knife wielding, edged weapons aggressor. The SAKA Programme is delivered over three one day (6 hour) workshops. Various aspects of each training level are covered in each workshop however, each workshop has a specific training focus. LEVEL ONE FOCUS: Emergency Pro-Active First-Aid Response Skills for dealing with knife or edged weapons injury and potential catastrophic blood loss, self, second and multiple person injury. LEVEL TWO FOCUS: The law and self-defence, victim selection, situational and environmental awareness, adrenal response, de-escalation strategies, weapons of opportunity, barriers and escape routes, proxemics and more.. LEVEL THREE FOCUS: Physical intervention skills for when there is no option of escape and engagement is essential. Additional modular workshops are also available for skill enhancement training. The SAKA Programme believes strongly in scenario-based training and the KISS (Keep It Super Simple) approach, training is very hands on in its delivery of knowledge and physical skills. Feedback is essential for positive learning outcomes, so our hands on approach to training and the tools we use, really helps those attending learn and retain information and skills as they are able to get to grips and experience the skills that are required for Surviving A Knife Attack.
