We are incredibly lucky to have a wonderful selection of Teaching Assistants who support the learning and wellbeing of all our children.

This wonderful group of adults go above and beyond every day to create a safe, happy and inspiring environment where every child can learn and succeed.

✨🦊🍭🍫🍬Happy Roald Dahl Day 🍬🍫🍭🦊✨

Today marks the annual celebration of Roald Dahl on what would have been his birthday.

We have a huge range of his books in our school library which Mrs Clarke has displayed for everyone to enjoy.

Which is your favourite Roald Dahl book?

Which one will you read next?

Here is a sneak peek 👀 at the lighthouses.

Miss Keeping and Miss Gould attended the beautiful VIP launch of the lighthouse trail this week.

We are honoured to have taken part in such an incredible project and we can’t wait to visit the lighthouses on the trail this summer.

Goosewell’s ‘Guiding Goose’ will be on display with the other schools’ lighthouses in until September, when it will be taking pride of place in our school.

A huge thank you to the team for including in this project.

A team of Goosewell staff will be doing the Midnight Walk in aid of St Luke’s on Friday 10th July, please use the link below if you would like to sponsor us - all donations will be very gratefully received! 🏃‍♀️

🌟 Third time lucky for school games days 🌟

We’re hoping that the saying really does come true!

Our first school games days were unfortunately washed out by the rain ☔️ and then this week’s attempts were lost to the heatwave. ☀️

We’re now looking forward to our third attempt taking place during the final week of term. Please check the updated dates on the poster.

Thank you to all our families for your understanding and flexibility. Here’s hoping for just the right weather this time. 🌦️🏅

☀️ Hot Weather Update ☀️

With the warm weather set to continue this week, we’re making a few changes to help keep everyone happy, cool and safe 😊

👕 Children are welcome to wear their PE kits all week
🧴 Please apply suncream before school and send some in for reapplication
💧 Bring a named water bottle with plenty to drink
🧢 Don’t forget a hat for outdoor time

In school, we’ll be taking extra care by staying out of the sun during the hottest parts of the day, using shaded areas and making sure children have lots of water breaks.

Unfortunately, due to the amber weather warning, we’ve had to make the difficult decision to cancel this week’s sports days. We know this will be disappointing, but we’ll look to rearrange them when the weather is kinder to us 🌤️

Thank you as always for your support 💛

Year 5 have had a fantastic week doing Bikeability 🚴🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️

They have learnt lots of new skills and become more confident on their bikes. Some children have even practiced their skills on the road.

A huge thank you to the bikeability team who have supported a fantastic week of bike riding!

We are incredibly proud to be part of the ‘little lights’ project. Miss Keeping, Miss Gould and creative children from across the school worked together to make our incredible lighthouse ‘Guiding Goose’.

A huge thank you to Miss Keeping and Miss Gould for all your hard work on this project. We also loved being able to make links with our old friend Mrs Wilson.

Watch this space for more previews of our fantastic art work and you can see it for yourself at the box from July 7th.
