Barbican Pre-school

We had Izzy come and visit us last week and it was lovely to hear how well we are doing with our teeth brushing. Our preschoolers love brushing their teeth alongside their friends. We've had parents say they hate it at home and how much it's a struggle, so hopefully this will have an impact and will make it a more of a relaxed task at home.

This morning we showed our respects to those who will never be forgotten. We are so grateful for being a part of the community. Giving our preschoolers experiences like these because one day we hope it will be them showing their respect. We will remember them 🥀

What a lovely day we had today, from start to finish.

Our smallest preschoolers explored colours using a variety of mark making tools, paint on tin foil and had fun mixing the colours together as we introduced new words linking them to fireworks.
We have been learning a NEW firework song and been making rockets and firework pics!! (Which are up on display😍)
Our bigger ones then watched a short age appropriate programme about staying safe during firework night, then we walked to the shops to buy some choc for our fantastic edible sparklers that they made when we got back to preschool.
We also bought our wheelie bin and food waste bin back into preschool 😀

Giving our preschoolers simple early experiences, exploring, giving them the chance to be curious and learn new things.

Great afternoon in the park with these little peeps 😍 it was so muddy, so glad we put on our wellies!! I
We didn't just have fun in the park, we also learnt to cross the rd. using our listening ears, looking eyes to stop look & listen for cars 🚗

Today we got all yucky and sticky !! Exploring pumpkins, what's inside them? Do they smell? Feeling new textures through sensory play, making a connection to the natural world 🎃 Look at those curious faces, the smiles of achievement and enjoyment 😍

Well it's coming up to Halloween , so out come the spiders 🕷 today we started our spider week. We have been making spider puppets & singing spider songs. More spider fun tomorrow 🕷
