Some lovely words from my 84 year old colour analysis client, Ann.
It was such a privilege to meet Ann and analyse her colours; she’s an incredible lady - 84! I couldn’t believe it.
In her session, The drapes were so clear, telling us that she has a COOL undertone and suited softer, more muted colours but with a ‘bit of pep’ - we landed on Cool (or True) Summer.
Her eyes and skin lit up against the Cool Summer drapes, much more so than under the Light or Muted palettes.
The drapes never lie!
Ann was previously typed as a Warm Spring, which is most definitely wrong, and over the years she had slid into Autumnal colours, knowing that Spring was too bright for her. Over the last few years, after a few close friends passed away, she retreated entirely behind black, using coloured scarves to bring a bit of life to her outfits.
Ann knew she needed to re enter the world and make some changes, and I was so pleased to give her some colour confidence back.

Celebrity spotlight - Chloe Zhao

I have loved watching Chloe on the red carpet this awards season. She styled herself and her Natural / Creative Style Personality is so authentic and she carries it beautifully. I wish she knew her colour palette! A Bright Winter, she comes to life in high contrast, dark and cool colours. That bright fuchsia dress! The silver satin! The black with the deepest, coolest navy leather jacket! All divine.

The power of knowing your colours is so grounding. You have a rooted reassurance that you can fall back on time and time again, which is especially important when you have important events to look amazing at!

Do you think you’re a Bright Winter?

As always, I’d love to know your thoughts! ✌🏻🦋

THE CAPSULE WARDROBE

Such a useful tool for streamlining an unmanageable wardrobe is to create a capsule wardrobe, then slowly build upon it.

Knowing how to build a capsule wardrobe will transform packing for short trips away, and it will make you analyse just how much you really wear the rest of your clothes!

Try it and let me know how you get on.

Caaaaaate stop torturing me and wearing black!
I’m not even doing a poll for this one, it’s so obvious.
LIGHT SUMMERS UNITE (and stop wearing black, for colour analysts everywhere).

I’m loving Demi Moore’s Cannes wardrobe!

I’ve made a slight shade adjustment to better suit her Winter palette - what do you think?

I’d also love to see her bob her hair…

Cool or warm hues for Amanda Seyfried?

Light Spring and Light Summer sit next to each other on the colour wheel, and so are ‘sister’ seasons. Sometimes, they can borrow from each other. But pinks and peaches are always a dead giveaway to me - there’s no crossover, you’re either one or the other!
Which do you think Amanda suits best? Comment your answer! 👇🏻✌🏻🦋

Are you a Summer who loves wearing black? Cease and desist, as there are much better colours for you that serve the same purpose: slimming, classic, easy…
Dark Green is a great example. Make sure it’s a cool hue and not a warm forest green, as that is an Autumn colour and will drag your features down.
Do you think Emily looks better in black or green?

1st met gala 2026 colour analysis edit is Kim Kardashian.

She needs a cool and dark outfit colour, and a high contrast, cool hair colour.

What do you think? Do you prefer her original look or my edit?
