βοΈ Heatwave weather update βοΈ
We are getting daily guidance from the government regarding safe working with young children. We will ensure that we take extra precautions to keep children safe, including regular drinks, shaded play areas and quieter activities during the hottest parts of the day.
Please ensure you provide:
Ice packs in their lunch boxes π
A sun hat π π§’
Have sunscreen already applied before arrival
Spare summer clothes - (plenty due to extra water play! Even swim shorts/ suits if preferable for accessing water play!)
Signs of heat exhaustion or heatstroke can include:
β’ Excessive tiredness or lethargy
β’ Dizziness or headache
β’ Feeling sick or vomiting
β’ Hot, flushed skin
β’ Confusion or unusual behaviour
β’ High temperature
If your child shows any of these symptoms at home, please keep them cool, encourage fluids and seek medical advice if needed.
If you are planning to keep your child at home due to the heat, please let us know by phoning or emailing us βοΈ
(Please note we are monitoring drink consumption during this heat wave)
Thank you for your support.

We were delighted to welcome Rachel from Family Hubs to Playdays, where she spoke with our children about the importance of road safety.
The children listened so well, were wonderfully behaved throughout the session, and showed great interest in learning how to stay safe near roads.
It will be lovely to continue these conversations and hear what the children remember and learned from today's visit.
A big thank you to Rachel for taking the time to visit us and share such an important message with our preschoolers! π¦πΆββοΈπΆββοΈ
Today, some of our children had the wonderful opportunity to visit Age UK and spend time with members of the older generation in our community. π
Moments like these are so important. When children connect with elderly people, they gain empathy, understanding, while bringing joy and companionship in return. These interactions reminds us all of the value of kindness, respect, and shared experiences.
A small visit can make a big difference. πΌ
