๐Ÿฆ•๐Ÿ› Bathing the Dinosaurs! ๐Ÿ›๐Ÿฆ–
Today our little explorers discovered that even dinosaurs need a bath sometimes! The children were busy washing, scrubbing, splashing and caring for our muddy dinosaurs using water, foam, bowls and cloths.
As they worked together, the children showed fantastic teamwork, taking turns and sharing resources while engaging in imaginative play. They talked about the different dinosaurs, created their own stories and used descriptive language to explain what they were doing. There were plenty of opportunities for developing fine motor skills as little hands squeezed, scrubbed and washed away the mud.
Sensory play like this supports children's curiosity, creativity and communication skills while encouraging them to explore different textures and materials. It was wonderful to see the children's excitement as they transformed the muddy dinosaurs into clean and shiny prehistoric friends!
๐Ÿฆ• Exploring textures and sensory experiences
๐Ÿฆ– Developing language and storytelling skills
๐Ÿฆ• Building friendships through shared play
๐Ÿฆ– Strengthening fine motor skills and hand coordination
๐Ÿฆ• Encouraging curiosity and imaginative thinking
The dinosaurs are now sparkling clean and ready for their next adventure! โœจ๐Ÿฆ–๐Ÿ’ฆ

๐Ÿฆด๐Ÿ” Fossil Hunters! ๐Ÿ”๐Ÿฆด

Today our children became fossil hunters as they searched for dinosaur bones hidden in the sand!

Using magnifying glasses and their detective skills, they carefully dug, discovered and explored different fossils. The children enjoyed talking about their finds, working together and learning more about dinosaurs and the world around them.

This fun activity helped to develop curiosity, communication, problem-solving skills and fine motor control, all through hands-on play.

We had lots of excited fossil hunters and some fantastic discoveries! ๐Ÿฆ–โœจ

๐Ÿฆ•๐Ÿชฅ Dinosaur Teeth Time at The Cabin! ๐Ÿชฅ๐Ÿฆ•

Yesterday our children became dinosaur dentists as they helped clean the teeth of some very messy prehistoric friends! Using toothbrushes, foam and lots of enthusiasm, the children carefully scrubbed away the "plaque" from the dinosaurs' teeth.

This exciting sensory activity sparked lots of conversations about why we brush our teeth, how to keep them healthy, and what might happen if we forget to clean them. The children showed great concentration as they squeezed, scooped, brushed and explored the different textures, all while developing their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

There were plenty of imaginative moments too, with the children taking on the role of dentists and caring for their dinosaurs, demonstrating kindness and an understanding of how we look after ourselves and others.

Learning through play is at the heart of everything we do, and this activity combined sensory exploration, communication, physical development and oral health awareness in a fun and memorable way.

We think our dinosaurs left with the biggest, brightest smiles! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿฆ–โœจ

๐Ÿฆ•๐Ÿ” Dinosaur Dig Site Adventure! ๐Ÿ”๐Ÿฆ•

Our little palaeontologists had a fantastic time today exploring our dinosaur excavation tray! Armed with magnifying glasses, sieves, and lots of curiosity, the children carefully searched through the sensory materials to uncover hidden dinosaurs.

As they dug, discovered, and shared their finds, the children practised important skills including turn-taking, communication, patience, and working alongside their friends. There were lots of excited conversations as they compared their discoveries and helped each other search for more prehistoric treasures!

Learning through play is always an adventure, especially when dinosaurs are involved! ๐Ÿฆ–โœจ

Today our little explorers put their problem-solving skills to the test with a dinosaur matching challenge! The children carefully looked at the different picture pieces, discussing what they could see and working out where each section belonged to complete the dinosaur.

This fun activity encouraged the children to use their observation skills, concentration, and critical thinking as they matched colours, shapes, and patterns to rebuild each dinosaur. There were lots of excited discussions, teamwork, and proud smiles when the dinosaurs were successfully completed!

We love seeing the children challenge themselves, persevere, and celebrate their achievements together. Well done, dinosaur detectives! ๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿฆ•๐Ÿฆ–

Today the children had a wonderful visit from Karen, and what a fantastic time they all had! ๐Ÿ’• From sharing stories and lots of laughter to cuddles, surprises, and plenty of excitement, there were smiles all around.

Looking through these photos, we're honestly not sure who had the most fun โ€“ the children or Karen! ๐Ÿ˜„ The joy, curiosity, and warmth shared during the visit created some truly special moments that everyone will remember.
