Great to see our friends and colleagues across the University of Plymouth campus getting involved with inspiring the next generation of learners and creators!
The University’s work to inspire the next generation is coming to the small screen thanks to a new CBeebies show.
The University of Plymouth will feature in two episodes of Art Adventures with Fred & Pete – which follows the Cornish comedy characters as they take on creative challenges.
Plymouth was invited to take part in episodes on robotics and medicine, with filming taking place in its cutting-edge clinical skills facilities and recently opened Babbage Building.

How cool is this?! With the Autumn half term approaching, why not check out this amazing collaboration between our central Children's University team and the super Pawprint Family for some fun activities with great rewards in the form of badges!
This Autumn we’ve teamed up with Pawprint Family to try something a little new! Rather than give children just 5 different challenges to try over half term, Pawprint Family have created an awesome **FREE Autumn Challenge pack** which contains **40 different ideas** to explore this Autumn!
Not only can you still collect Children’s University stamp codes for taking part, but you can also buy a fantastic woven badge! We love working with Pawprint Family – if you search our activities you’ll find more than 380 different Pawprint Badges you can collect as part of your Children’s University journey. It’s fantastic for us to be adding to this with our very own badge!

Picture-This 2024
Picture-This 2024 is a brand-new creative craft competition from ootiboo. It is a collaboration with author Holly Wadsworth-Hill who creates picture books - with no pictures! The idea is that your child reads or listens to the story, then goes back and draws the illustrations, becoming the illustrator of the book. This means every book is totally unique, and a wonderful record of your child's imagination.
We have short extracts from two of Holly's books to choose from, and you can have a go at both! There are book prizes to be won, and even if you are not successful, we will have a special Picture-This Books™ discount code for you, just for taking part.
Duration
Launch May 21st
Closing date July 15th (Midnight)
Prizes
Prize 1 – The winning individual entry of The Imagination Garden competition option will receive a Picture-This Books™ book bundle, including all five Picture-This Books™ titles published to date, and a pack of Love Writing Co. colouring pencils.
Prize 2 – The winning individual entry of Not Black and White competition option will receive a Picture-This Books™ book bundle, including all five Picture-This Books™ titles published to date, and a pack of Love Writing Co. colouring pencils.
The RRP of each book is £14.99.

ootiboo has just launched eCo: Connect!
The project builds links between schoolchildren and the environmental changemakers of today, to give them a voice and to inspire them to be the changemakers of tomorrow.
We are very lucky to have Marc Buckley as our first contributor. Mark wrote the Sustainable Development Goal Manifesto for the United Nations for 2030. Check out the project, Marc's question and our first answer from students of Brabourne Primary in Kent, England.
Schools from around the world are invited to take part in the project which will pose a new question each school term. Spread the word!
