Nursery & Pre-School enjoyed another exciting Fresh Air Friday adventure!
The children explored their environment using their senses, particularly enjoying discovering what they could see through their magnifying glasses. They then put their amazing gross motor skills to the test as they climbed, balanced and explored the trees and trim trail! 🌿

Reception thoroughly enjoyed their Forest School afternoon last week! They explored the outdoor environment, searching for natural resources that matched the colours on their colour swatches. 🍂🍃

It was a lovely opportunity to talk about the seasonal changes we are beginning to notice and how the colours, textures and appearance of natural objects change as we move into Autumn. 🍁

We’re starting our OPAL journey at Ernesettle! 💛

We’re excited to begin developing OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) at Ernesettle. Over time, we hope to make playtimes and lunchtimes even more creative, engaging and enjoyable for our children, with more opportunities to explore, imagine, build, move and play together.

To help us get started, we’re collecting items that can be given a new lease of life in our outdoor play spaces. Please take a look at our Donations Needed poster to see what we’re looking for.
Donations can be dropped off at the school office. If you have a larger item, such as a buggy, pram, scooter, balance bike or ride-on, please feel free to call the School Office before bringing it in so we can check that it’s suitable.

We’d also love to hear from local businesses who may be able to donate safe, interesting materials for children’s play.

♻️ Before you throw it away, think OPAL! Something you no longer need could spark a brilliant new play experience.

6VW and 6CP have arrived safely in the City Centre to carry out their Geography Fieldwork. First stop was at Portland Square to reflect on the lives lost during WW2 and to observe the many physical changes of our city environment.

We’re excited to invite parents, carers and families to our new Coffee & Connect sessions at Ernesettle Community School!

Come along for a relaxed cuppa, a chat and a chance to connect with other families. Each session will provide a friendly, supportive space to talk about things that may be on your mind — from worries about food and eating, emotions and anxiety, communication, friendships, school attendance, sensory needs and preparing for change or transition.

There’s no pressure and no question is too small. We’ll also be inviting professionals along throughout the year to share advice, guidance and support. 💛

⚽🏆Super Saints Football Tournament Champions!🏆⚽

What a fantastic achievement for our Year 6 children today as they took part in the Super Saints Football Tournament — and came away as 1st place!🎉🥇

The team secured wins against MAP, Pennycross and Shakespeare, as well as a draw against Knowle Primary. It all came down to goal difference at the end, making for a very exciting finish! 🙌

But it wasn't just their football skills that impressed us. The children showed brilliant sportsmanship, supporting and encouraging one another throughout the tournament and cheering each other on to get the very best out of the team. 💙⚽

A huge well done to all of our Year 6 footballers — what an achievement! 🏆👏
