Today, the children celebrated England's win with lots of football-themed activities! They enjoyed designing their own football shirts and exploring our England sensory tray.
It's safe to say the sensory tray was a huge hit... There was shredded paper EVERYWHERE! We saw lots of excitement, teamwork and creative play as the children celebrated in their own way. ⚽🏴
What a fun-filled day of football celebrations!

Thank you to all our dads and carers who came along to our Stay and Play session today. Even though the rain decided to pour, we still had a lovely afternoon spending time together, exploring activities and making special memories with the children. We really appreciate everyone who joined us and helped make the session such a success.

Today, the children have been busy archaeologists, carefully digging for dinosaur bones and exploring the world of prehistoric discovery.
Our school leavers have been developing their fine motor skills by following dotted lines on their whiteboards. We saw lots of concentration and determination as they practised their pencil control. Some children then challenged themselves further by writing their names, while others used their creativity to draw pictures of Mrs Benstead!
These activities help strengthen the hand muscles needed for writing, build confidence in mark-making, and support children as they continue their school-readiness journey.

Today, the older children enjoyed a visit from Peninsula Dental, where they listened to a story about how to look after their teeth and took part in a fun magnetic game. The children discovered which foods help keep our teeth healthy and which foods can cause damage, as the unhealthy foods stuck to the teeth while the healthy foods did not!
During the school readiness session, the children practised using a knife and fork to cut playdough, helping to develop their independence and fine motor skills. They also had a close inspection of our new caterpillars, which we will be watching carefully over the coming weeks as they transform into beautiful butterflies.
