Little Squirrels Nursery

The little ones had a fantastic trip to Mount Wise Park, soaking up the sunshine with their friends. They had a great time playing on the slide and climbing the stairs all by themselves, which really helped build their confidence. Swinging with the staff brought lots of giggles and smiles, and they thoroughly enjoyed exploring the feel of the sand while playing. They also had fun looking out to sea, spotting different boats and eagerly pointing them out for the staff to see. It was a delightful day for all!

We are thrilled to share that in September 2026, Little Squirrels Nursery will be opening a newly refurbished, spacious baby room dedicated to children aged 3 months to 2 years.

❗️As the weather gets warmer this week, please help us keep your children safe and comfortable by following these simple sun safety measures:

•Ensure your child comes to nursery with/wearing a sun hat and suncream. Please label their hats!

•Bring a named water bottle so children can stay hydrated throughout the day. We will be having regular drink breaks and top up’s.

•Dress children in lightweight, loose-fitting clothing that covers their shoulders where possible.
**Spare clothes are a bonus please as we will be exploring LOTS of water play to help keep everyone cool 😎**

Staff will monitor children closely for signs of overheating and ensure regular drinks and rest periods. We will encourage children to play in shaded areas and avoid prolonged exposure to the sun during the hottest parts of the day.

This morning, the babies had a delightful walk in the rain to the park. We gathered pine cones, which we washed when we returned to the nursery. They also enjoyed some time on the swings and explored the park's natural wonders!

📢 End of Term Reminder

We would like to remind all families that the last day of term will be Thursday 23rd July.

Please also note that the nursery will be closed on the morning of Friday 24th July due to staff training.

We will reopen on Monday 27th July for stretched funded and fee paying parents only.
