Year 7 students recently put their lab safety skills into practice by lighting Bunsen burners for flame tests!🔥
By adding different metal compounds to the flame, they observed bright colour changes while demonstrating safe laboratory techniques🥼

We have been delighted to welcome back our students, staff, and families for the start of the new academic year. A special welcome to our new students joining us for the very first time, and to our returning year groups as they take the next step in their journey.

As we re-gathered yesterday, we rededicate ourselves to supporting every young person, fostering a spirit of kindness, and working together to help our students achieve their absolute best.

We ask for your prayers and support for our school communities as we begin this new term. Here is to a blessed, joyful, and successful year ahead!⭐

Students and staff at Notre Dame School, part of Plymouth CAST Multi Academy Trust, have come together to receive their GCSE results this morning.

It has been another year of positive results and the entire school community is incredibly proud of what students have achieved. The school is also looking forward to welcoming back many students as they progress onto A levels at NDSB6⭐️

While all students have done well, there have been some impressive individual performances. These include:
-Ebony who successfully achieved 9s in chemistry, physics, maths, English language, English literature, history, religious studies and Distinction* in health and social care; 8s in biology and Spanish.
-Olivia who achieved 9s in science, English language, English literature and religious studies; 8s in food technology, maths, French, history and Distinction* in health and social care.
-Nela who successfully achieved 9s in science, maths and religious studies; 8s in art and design and history; 7s English language, English literature, French and performing arts.
Phoebe A, Abi B and Hannah M should also be recognised for achieving extraordinarily well in challenging circumstances.

Ann Morgan, Head of School at Notre Dame, said:
We are delighted to see the achievements of all our students and are proud that they have achieved the grades necessary to move on to take up places to study A Levels and a wide range of courses in our 6th Form and at College. This year’s results see an increase in students achieving the top grades and an overall increase in student attainment. We congratulate each and every student and we wish them well in the next phase of their education🎓

Students and staff at Notre Dame School celebrate A Level success!⭐️

The school is pleased to share in the excitement of another year of positive results for students who have worked incredibly hard throughout the year. Many students are now progressing to their chosen next steps in higher education or employment.

While we are proud of all students’ achievements, a number of students have secured university places to study Science related subjects including:

•Ellisa will be studying Bio Chemistry at the University of Exeter

•Matilde is going to Bath University to study Chemistry

•Abigail who has secured a place at the University of Plymouth to study Zoology.

Health Care and Nursing subjects have seen a number of students securing degree courses including:

•Jazmin, who has secured a place at the University of Plymouth to study Dental Surgery

•Natasha will also be attending Plymouth to study Optometry

•Daniel has secured a place at the University of Plymouth to study Nursing (Child Health)

•Tammy has secured a place at a university in America to study Nursing

•Sky will be studying Nursing (Adult Health) at the University of Plymouth

•Sophie is going to Bristol (UWE) to study Nursing (Mental Health).

We also have a number of students who will be going on to study Architecture and others going on to study Drama as well as students studying a wide range of subjects at universities across the country.

We are delighted that all of our students have achieved the grades required to move onto their planned next steps. We wish them all well in the future and can’t wait to hear of their continued successes in the years to come!🎓
