🚨 Code Blue in Year 9! 🏥

Our Year 9 students became life-savers for the afternoon during a high-stakes "Medical Rush" workshop! Hosted by Plymouth Peninsula Medical School's Doctors as Educators team, students raced against the clock to diagnose patients, manage A&E crisis, and work under real pressure.

From analysing complex treatments to mastering rapid teamwork, our future healthcare heroes absolutely smashed it.

🎓 Future robot builders in the making? 🤖✨

Our Year 10s had an incredible time at the University of Plymouth celebrating the completion of their 10-week 'Opportunity Plymouth' mentoring programme! They toured the campus, got stuck into teamwork exercises, and explored the robotics labs.

As Bella in Year 10 put it: "Getting to talk to a real university student every week made the future feel a lot less scary. Seeing the robotics lab today was incredible—it really made me realize what's possible if I work hard."

We are so proud of everyone who took part! 🏆

🔬 NATIONAL BIOLOGY SUCCESS AT SMHC! 🔬

Huge congratulations to our Year 10 scientists who competed against 42,000 students nationwide in the UK Biology Challenge! 🌟

Well done to Yazmyn-Jo for securing a brilliant Silver award (top 10% in the UK!), and to Lois, Daniel, Catherine, and Daniella for taking home Bronze medals. 🥈🥉

Shoutout also to the many SMHC students who received Highly Commended / Commended awards. Amazing work, everyone! 👏

From Princetown to Buckfast Abbey, students showed outstanding resilience, teamwork and determination in challenging heat.
