🏗️ Lego, Logic & Lead Times! 🚢

Our Year 9 and 10 students recently became manufacturing bosses in a brilliant hands-on workshop with@babcockinternationalgroup.

Working in teams, students ran simulated businesses to build Lego cranes - managing production costs, efficiency, and teamwork to maximise their "profits."

While Year 10 took the crown for making the most profit (with one team clearing over £195,000 in simulated cash!), everyone walked away with fantastic real-world problem-solving and communication skills.

A huge thank you to the Babcock team for inspiring our future engineers and business leaders! 👏

🏳️‍🌈 Celebrating Pride in our Community 🏳️‍🌈

Students recently visited the Micro Mirrorball Museum for an inspiring look at Plymouth's Pride history.

Despite the summer heatwave, the museum stayed open exclusively for us. Students explored powerful local stories—like 1920s Plymouth javelin champion Mark Weston—and viewed historic artifacts, including one of the very first Pride flags.

Mrs. Chalmers praised the group: "The students behaved impeccably, engaging deeply and asking brilliant questions. It was definitely worth the trip!"

This memorable visit was the perfect finale to a month of Pride assemblies and activities across our colleges. 👏✨

✨ Moments That Matter; Our Awards Ceremony 2026! ✨

Pride and excitement filled the air at the Scott College! It was an incredibly inspiring night celebrating the dedication, resilience, and unique achievements of our fantastic students. 🏆👏

During the ceremony, students proudly stepped up to receive their well-deserved awards, and special student guest speakers spoke out about their own personal moments that matter within school. Out of the hundreds of students within our school, these individuals truly stood out for their hard work and determination.

As student Sheren beautifully shared: "Being brave does not mean that you are not afraid. Being brave means taking action even when you are afraid."

A massive thank you to our tireless staff who guide, support, and uplift our students every single day. We are endlessly proud of all our award winners! 🎉🌟

🩺 Hands-On Healthcare! Our students brought the medicine to life at our Practical Skills Day! 🚑✨

From delivering vital first aid and mastering infection control to exploring the worlds of midwifery and optometry, our students got to learn directly from the pros. We even had a brilliant visit from the Devon Freewheelers to see how emergency couriers support the NHS!

🎓 Alumni Spotlight! 🎓

We loved welcoming back former student Bea Bingham, who just finished her first year studying Politics and Sociology at the University of Exeter with a fantastic 2:1! 🌟

Bea credits her time at Scott College for helping her find her path: "Taking Sociology at A-Level is where I really found my passion, and school trips to Exeter Uni helped me decide exactly where I wanted to go."

From joining the Politics Society to balancing studies and a part-time job, Bea is thriving. We are incredibly proud of her and wish her the best of luck in Year 2! 👏

💦 Soak a Teacher Success! 💦

Year 9’s Lily & Scarlett planned an amazing, water-filled fundraiser for St Lukes Hospice & YoungMinds as part of Charity Challenge Tuesdays! ☀️

Thanks to everyone's generosity, we've raised over £800 for each charity so far. We can't wait to smash our £1k targets this September! 👏🎉

Our incredible Year 11 students celebrated the end of an era in style at the stunning Crown Plaza! 👑 From red-carpet-ready gowns and sharp suits to a packed dance floor, it was a night packed with glamour, laughter, and emotional goodbyes.

We are so incredibly proud of the bonds you've built and everything you've achieved during your time at Scott College. 🎓 This isn’t just the end of a chapter - it’s the start of your next big adventure! 🚀
