Just had this pop up in my news feed if anyone wants to tune in 😊
πŸ’šThank you to everyone involved in the St Peter’s family for keeping our children happy, safe and enjoying their learningπŸ’š
This poem by Esther Nzenza sums it all up!

T’was the week before half term and all through the land
The teachers were tired of washing their hands
Of cleaning the desks, and the drawers and the pens
Of reminding their class not to cuddle their friends
Of handgel and soap, of bleach and of wipes
Of passwords and google and all things that swipe
Of trying to stand at the length of a lion
From friends whose shoulders they wanted to cry on

T’was the week before half term and all through the land
The parents were trying to make up great plans
That don’t involve meeting, or greeting, or places
That in these strange times don’t resemble safe spaces
They look to the teachers, and all they have done
To make school inviting, inspiring and fun
To see past the problems, the issues and rules
To bring back the joy and excitement of school

Thank you being the safe place, the learning
For standing there strong with the children returning
For finding solutions that don’t feel so strange
With no funds or magicians to help you arrange
For stories and spellings and phonics and play
For taking the fear of this moment away
Anyone by chance got a photo of the football team that won the league and cup double back in the 1963-64 season???
Hi would you mind signing this petition and making parents aware to sign and share..
Kind regards
FAO Mr Morse reference our conversation today.
Hello I would like to urge teachers and parents to watch a TV show on Netflix called 13 Reasons why, if you haven't already. I would like to raise awareness of bullying and signs of depression and the damage it can cause to a person even if you don't know. I myself had endured years of bullying from infant school until the day I left secondary and now I have depression and Social Anxiety. I don't know if this caused it but I'm hoping if parents and teachers watch this we can stamp out bullying altogether. Please be aware
Message of support from the st peters parents group.following today's incident there are many parents offering support and help to form a clean up group and to start a crowd funding, please do let us know what we can do to help

We enjoyed our final Celebration Assembly this afternoon and recognised the amazing achievement that has made this academic year a really successful one.

We gave our Year 6 leavers the usual send off. It has been a privilege watching them grow as young people during their time at our wonderful school. We hope their next adventures are as fun and memorable. Wishing you all the very best of luck at secondary school πŸ‘πŸ˜€

This week Assisi class have been learning all about the Chinese New Year. We were very lucky to have a visitor to come and teach us all about Chinese New Year and the traditions. We have been busy making dragons, Chinese lanterns, zodiac animals out of Lego, and rabbits as it is the Year of the Rabbit.

Our children have been paying their respects to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, after the sad news of her death yesterday. Flowers and candles have been laid by our Jubilee Tree in the playground.

We have talked about our feelings and that it is ok not to understand our emotions. We are now creating our own class Books of Condolences πŸ™

09/09/2022

Gracious God, we give thanks for the life of your servant Queen Elizabeth, for her faith and dedication to duty. Bless our nation as we mourn her death and may her example continue to inspire us; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
