Over the last couple of weeks, the babies have explored textures and have been working on skills to develop their physical development.

They have really enjoyed exploring the garden and especially the new climbing apparatus .

The children have been exploring a wide range of sensory experiences and have also been working on their hand eye coordination.

We have enjoyed lots of time in the garden, playing and learning alongside our peers.

Well done everyone!

🦷 Healthy Teeth
This week, we have been learning about the importance of brushing our teeth every day. We talked about why we need to brush our teeth and what we can do to keep our teeth healthy and strong. The children have been practising their toothbrushing skills and learning about healthy habits.

🏠 Houses Around the World
We have also been learning different types of houses around the world and about the materials and designs used to build them.

🐷 Our Supporting Story – The Three Little Pigs
Our supporting story this week was The Three Little Pigs. We enjoyed listening to the story and talking about the different houses the pigs built. We explored which materials were used and enjoyed joining in with the familiar story.

πŸ‘©β€πŸ³ Cooking From Scratch
The children took part in preparing our ingredients, mixing and creating food together. This was a wonderful opportunity to develop independence, practise fine motor skills and learn how to prepare them.

πŸ‚ Autumn Exploration
We have been enjoying the changes happening around us in our garden. The children collected leaves and observed the beautiful autumn colours, noticing how the leaves are changing.

🎨 Creating Our Own Autumn Trees
Using a variety of materials, the children created their own beautiful autumn trees. They explored different colours, textures and materials while developing their creativity and fine motor skills.

Well done, Preschool, for all your wonderful learning and hard work this week! We are so proud of you! πŸŒ³πŸ‚πŸ¦·πŸ‘

✨ Our Busy and Wonderful Week at Preschool ✨

🐈 Moving Like Cats!
We had a wonderful movement session with one of our Trustees, Mrs Rees. Thank you to Mrs Rees, it was incredible to bring so much fun, curiosity, and learning to the children. Together, we explored how cats move their bodies, how they stretch, jump, balance, and move with such agility.

πŸ• Cooking with our chef
We had so much fun cooking from scratch with our lovely chef and making a delicious pizza! The children enjoyed getting involved, exploring the ingredients, and learning about how our food is made.

Bonjour, French!πŸ‡«πŸ‡·
We also started our French lessons this week. The children had a wonderful time discovering new words and singuing.

🎨 International Dot Day
We celebrated International Dot Day in a colourful and creative way. We explored dots, colours, patterns, and creativity.

πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘¦ Stay and Play with Parents
And, of course, we had our Stay and Play with Parents, which was absolutely amazing! It was so lovely to welcome our families into the preschool and share special moments of play, learning, and connection together.

What a fantastic week it has been! We are so proud of all the children and the enthusiasm, curiosity, and joy they bring to each day. πŸ’›

What a Wonderful Week, Pre-School! πŸŒŸπŸŽ‰
Pre-School has had a busy and exciting week exploring the Hoe through our Walking.

The children have been learning about road safety and being aware of their surroundings, which is so important. They enjoyed observing what they could see and hear around them and did a fantastic job staying safe and following instructions.

We have also been learning to recognise the first letter of our names, developing our early literacy skills and building confidence in identifying letters. ✨

Well done, Pre-School! You should all be very proud of yourselves! πŸŒŸπŸ‘πŸŽ‰
