We are a school with a tradition of academic excellence, high aspirations and a big heart, a school that students and staff are proud to attend.

Today we started to say goodbye to our incredible Year 11 students.

You should be immensely proud of how far you have come and all that you have achieved. Congratulations on reaching this important milestone.

🌟 Plymouth Youth Awards Finalists!

We are incredibly proud of two of our Post 16 students, whose quick thinking and bravery helped a local resident when his house caught fire in Plympton.

We were delighted to learn that they have been selected as finalists for the Plymouth Youth Awards in recognition of their actions at the St Margaret's Road fire.

⭐ Eddie K (Year 12)
⭐ Lucy W (Year 13)

Both students have been invited to attend the awards dinner later this term, accompanied by their parents. This well-deserved recognition reflects their courage, compassion, and willingness to help others in a time of need.

Congratulations, Eddie and Lucy, the entire school community is proud of you, and we look forward to hearing how you get on at the awards ceremony! 👏

A huge congratulations to Maisie, who had an incredible weekend at the All England West Regional Finals in Cheltenham! 🎉

After achieving qualifying marks at local competitions, Maisie took two solo dances to the regional finals. She performed her lyrical solo and delivered a performance she was proud of against a very strong field of dancers.

Maisie competed with her modern solo and achieved an outstanding result, being crowned the 17–21 Age Group Regional Modern Solo Champion for the whole of the West of England! 🏆✨

This fantastic achievement means that Maisie has qualified for the All England National Finals in July.

We are incredibly proud of Maisie and all of her hard work, dedication, and talent. We wish her the very best of luck as she prepares for the national finals! 🌟

A huge thank you to Nigel Hall from KBG Chambers for delivering such an inspiring talk to Dr Parker’s Criminology class and other interested students about careers in law and becoming a barrister.

Nigel shared his own career journey, offered advice on the path into the profession, and spoke passionately about increasing opportunities for students from state schools to pursue careers at the Bar.

The feedback from students has been fantastic, one Year 12 student was so inspired that she spent the weekend researching university courses and finding out more about becoming a barrister herself!

Experiences like this help our students see what’s possible for their future.

Dream big!🌟

Junior Leadership Team!
Last month, Eight Year 12 students were interviewed for positions on the Junior Leadership Team. The team plays a vital role in representing students across Years 7–13 and, through the Student Council, helps ensure student voice remains at the heart of the Senior Leadership Team’s planning and decision-making. After much deliberation, the new team has now been announced:

Head Student: Elliott Worley
Head Student: Connie Negus
Deputy Head Student: Nikko Castro
Deputy Head Student: Ynah Sala
Assistant Head Student: Fintan Moran
Assistant Head Student: Jack Walker
Assistant Head Student: Maggie Willcocks
Assistant Head Student: Toby Phillips

We genuinely can't wait to start working with this team of exceptional young people and reporting through their work as we progress through the year. A huge congratulations
to them all! 🌟
