📚At Adventure Babies, we love all things books! We have our favourites which we love talking about and we love hearing about yours! But when you have a small baby, what are the best first books to introduce early exploring of stories?📚

😍Chunky board books are super for babies! They often have different textured parts to feel and are really colourful! We love the lift the flap stories with felt, they last a bit longer with grabby hands! Books with noises and sound buttons are great for engaging them in a different way. 🎵

What are your book recommendations you enjoyed with your baby when they were small?🥰

🌟 Milestones! 🌟

Recently we've had some wonderful moments in classes when little ones have achieved huge milestones for the FIRST TIME! 🥳

👏Has your little one rolled, crawled, sat up on their own or even taken their first steps at Adventure Babies? We want to celebrate your little superheroes and share how amazing they all are! 👏

🌟One of the most wonderful things about this job is watching your little ones begin to develop friendships! 🌟

👶From the first moment that your baby realises that they aren't the only baby in the world, they can become really interested in looking at other little ones! They develop into 'side by side' playing where they seem to play with the same things without actually playing with anyone else! 👶

BUT then we have those amazing moments when they start to form relationships. They might smile or laugh at another child, hand a toy, copy their actions or even give high fives, like we had this week! Before long they're running around together giggling and making memories and its the best thing to see!

Your little one might be going through a stage where they sob uncontrollably as soon as you go out of sight! Separation anxiety in babies can creep in at around 6/7 months and they go in and out of phases. It can be such a tough phase for you both and it does get better!

Puppets can be so useful in teaching little ones about object permanence; that something still exists even if they can't see or hear it!

Play peekaboo with your little one, hiding the puppet behind your back then making it appear again helps them to understand this tricky concept. They all get there eventually, we just need to give them a little bit of help 🥰

We've had a lot of chats in our young baby classes recently about babbling and exploring rhythm with your baby 🤩

We love hearing about first words too! Once they start babbling, they really don't stop! The BIG question is though.....did your baby say 'mama' or 'dada' first? 🤣

😍We are so happy to begin our brand new term today! I've LOVED having some time off at half term with my little ones and it's been amazing to have some sunshine too! We hope you've had the best time and we can't wait for a catch up in classes this week! 😍

🥰We've had our fair share of strong-willed challenges and car bickering but also beautiful grubby faces, smiles and gorgeous memories. As our working week routine begins again, I'm going to miss them!🥰

BUT the fridge, snack cupboard and bank balance will breath a sign of relief! 😅
