The children at our Fortview Nursery in Plymouth have been busy developing their confidence and skills while exploring real tools.
They used hand-held drills to make holes in our home-grown pumpkins, screwdrivers to add screws into the wooden blocks, and hand saws to cut through the pumpkins. They even put their new skills to the test by attempting to fix our garden gate!
Through this hands-on experience, the children developed their hand-eye coordination, fine and gross motor skills, problem-solving and perseverance. They also learnt how different tools work, how to use them safely and how to choose the right tool for a job.
There was lots of concentration, and determination as the children explored how each tool worked and what it could be used for.
What talented tool users they have been! 🎃

We would just like to say a little thank you to all of our wonderful practitioner team at our Fort View Nursery in Plymouth for their hard work, care and dedication this week.
Starting somewhere new can be a big step for our children, and our team have worked so hard to make sure every child feels safe, secure, welcomed and cared for as they settle in.
We’re so grateful for everything you do and for the kindness, patience and reassurance you show each and every day.

WOW… our sunflowers at our Fort View Nursery in Plymouth have grown into GIANTS!
Our tallest sunflower has grown OVER 9FT!
To help the children understand just how tall that really is, we measured the sunflowers out using sticks and the children lay alongside them to compare their own height.
And just for a bit of perspective… can you spot our 6ft 6in parent amongst the sunflowers? Even they look small next to our tallest one!
What an amazing way to explore measuring, comparing and the wonder of growing things.

We are incredibly proud of every member of our practitioner team who laced up their trainers, embraced the mud, and completed the challenge for such a fantastic cause.

Thanks to your hard work, determination, and the incredible generosity of everyone who supported you, the team has raised an amazing £720!

At our Fortview Nursery in Plymouth we celebrated our wonderful children graduating from Nursery to Big School and we couldn't be prouder of each and every one of them.

Our amazing Preschool children performed with such confidence, enthusiasm, and joy, making today a memory we will cherish forever. From the singing and dancing to the smiles and laughter, every single child shone so brightly and made us all incredibly proud.

It has been a privilege to watch them grow, learn, and flourish throughout their time at Mama Bear's.
As they take their next exciting step on their learning journey, we know they will continue to achieve wonderful things.

Thank you to our wonderful families for your continued support and for celebrating this very special milestone with us. We wish all of our children every success and happiness as they begin their next adventure. 🌟🎉

🌱🌻 At our Fort View Nursery in Plymouth our garden is thriving! 🌻🌱

Our little gardeners have been busy caring for our fruit, vegetables and flowers, and we are so excited to see how much they have grown!
So far we have been nurturing: 🥔 Potatoes 🥒 Courgettes 🎃 Pumpkins 🌻 Sunflowers 🍓 Strawberries 🌿 Basil

The children have loved watering the plants, watching them change each day and learning about what plants need to grow.

We can't wait to see what we can harvest over the coming weeks .
