Apologies for the late notice, however, the changeable weather forecast means that we have to cancel sports day again today.
Unfortunately, the field will be too slippery and too wet for the children and yourselves to sit on.
Our new date will be Tuesday 14th July at 1.15pm.
Sorry for any inconvenience, but we were really hoping to go ahead as planned today.

Widewell’s Eco Team have been buzzing with activity! 🌿✨
Last week, they put their creativity to work by building cosy hedgehog hotels, creating safe spaces for our prickly wildlife friends. Then yesterday, they headed out on a walk to the Balfour Beatty site, where they explored ways they can help enhance and develop the wellbeing garden for the builders.
What a fantastic example of teamwork, creativity, and care for the environment! 🌍💚

Dear Parents/Carers,
Apologies for the late notice, however, the latest downpour of rain has made the field unsafe to continue with Sports Day this afternoon.
The weather forecast for our Reserved Sports Day on Tuesday 16th June is looking promising for the event to be able go ahead.
Sorry for any inconvenience, but we were really hoping to go ahead as planned today.
Kind regards,
Widewell Primary School.

What a fantastic time Robins had at the Aquarium! We found out lots of fun facts, saw some fascinating sea animals and made our very own crafty creatures too. The children did us proud with their listening skills, inquisitive nature and general behaviour. Well done Robins! 🐟

ROLL UP! ROLL UP! You heard it here first…📣
Widewell has their very first WORD MILLIONAIRE!!! 🎉
A huge congratulations to Jax who blown us all away this year by reading over 1 million words. As one of our head librarians, Jax is a fantastic role model and also completely oozes enthusiasm and a passion for reading. He has read everything from Harry Potter and Kid Normal, to Tom Gates and Bad Dad. As a prize for such an incredible accomplishment, he has been awarded our first ever ‘Word Millionaire’ badge. I wonder who will be next…
