The time has come to bid farewell to our wonderful year 6s.
They have been absolutely incredible this year - working so hard and making huge progress. We’ve loved watching them all grow in confidence and maturity and are immensely proud of all they’ve achieved (including their amazing SATs results).
We’ve enjoyed cooking, crime scene solving, code breaking, residential, trips, visitors and much much more. The children have brought positivity and enthusiasm and made us laugh daily.
They are all so ready for their next steps at secondary school and we know they’re going to do so so well!

Although we will miss them, we wish them lots of luck for the future - but hope they enjoy a well earned rest over summer first.

Well done year 6… you did it!!!!

As we come to the end of this school year, I just want to say how incredibly proud I am of this wonderful class. It has been such a privilege to teach Year 1!

This class is full of character. They are funny, kind, thoughtful and resilient, and every single one of them has brought something unique to our classroom. They have filled our days with laughter and memories. They have worked so hard throughout the year and made us smile every single day. I genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better first Year 1 class.

As they move on to Year 2, I know they will continue to shine and make you all incredibly proud. While I am so excited to see what they achieve next, I will really miss them! Thank you for your continued support throughout the year. It has been a pleasure to work in partnership with you and to play a small part in your children’s journey. I wish you all a wonderful summer and every success for the year ahead. We are so proud of you!

Widewell Primary hosted 234 children from 15 of our schools in Learning Academies Trust for an event to celebrate and support children from military families.
The day provided valuable opportunities for children to build resilience, develop confidence and strengthen friendships through a wide range of engaging activities.
Throughout the day, children took part in survival and outdoor learning experiences, team-building challenges, circus skills, football coaching, archery and inflatable activities. The event was vibrant and energetic, with children enthusiastically embracing new experiences, working together and developing important life skills. It was wonderful to see so much teamwork, determination and enjoyment on display, as well as new friendships being formed.
This memorable event was made possible through funding from the Armed Forces Covenant Fund demonstrating our ongoing commitment to supporting military families within our communities.

As the school year comes to an end, it is hard to put into words just how special this year 2 class has been.
I've been incredibly lucky to teach them for two years and it has been such a privilege to watch them grow. They've grown not only in confidence, knowledge and independence but into kind, thoughtful and resilient young people who make us proud every single day.
As teachers, we often hope we've made a difference, but the truth is that these children have left a lasting mark on us too. We will miss their smiles, their stories, their brilliant questions and their funny one-liners and the joy they brought to each day. You'll always hold a special place in our hearts. We can't wait to see all the wonderful things you'll achieve in year 3 and beyond.
Have the most amazing summer!
