Feel Good Friday! 🚣‍♀️🌊

Last week marked our final kayaking session of 2026 with the amazing team at Moondogz. Participants enjoyed friendly races, games and plenty of fun on the water, ending the season on a high.

A huge thank you to the Moondogz volunteers for delivering so many enjoyable sessions throughout the year. Their support has helped make the ocean more accessible for our learners and clients, including those who have previously had difficult experiences connected to the sea.

It's been fantastic to see participants grow in confidence, feel more relaxed and develop a real sense of achievement through these sessions. We can't wait to be back on the water next year!

A huge thank you to The Rank Foundation and Livewell Southwest for supporting this important community project.

Part-time | Starting at 4 hours per week + Cover | Starting 5 January 2027

Are you a qualified ESOL teacher who loves helping adults develop their English, confidence and opportunities?

We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and committed teacher to join our welcoming team.

📚 What you'll be doing
• Teaching adult ESOL learners face-to-face
• Delivering engaging, supportive and inclusive English lessons
• Helping learners develop their confidence and communication skills
• Covering classes for absence/ sickness when required
• Working as part of a friendly and supportive teaching team

✅ What we're looking for

Essential:
• Trinity Cert TESOL or Cambridge CELTA (Level 5)

Desirable:
• Level 6 (degree)
• Experience teaching ESOL learners, particularly adults
• A passion for supporting learners from diverse backgrounds
• A positive, inclusive and learner-centred approach
• Good classroom management and communication skills
• Commitment to safeguarding and equality

🗓️ The details
Start date: 5 January 2027

Teaching: 4 hours per week, face-to-face

Additional work: Cover teaching as required

This annual celebration, organised by the amazing Plymouth and Devon Racial Equality Council, brought communities together at The Box and Theatre Royal Plymouth for a day filled with fun, culture, entertainment and community spirit.

It was wonderful to see so many people celebrating diversity, inclusion and everything that makes Plymouth such a vibrant city. 💜
