**MOAN**

A few days ago, we shared a photo of Coach Glen dunking to promote our ‘Over 45s’ basketball session. Since then, we've had a few comments suggesting the image was created using AI.

For the record – it wasn’t.*

We believe relying on AI-generated images to promote our sessions takes away from the authenticity of what we do. With so many organisations using the same AI-generated style, much of the content begins to look generic and lacks the genuine personality that makes a community sports club unique.

With that being said, last night's Over 45s basketball session was fantastic – great basketball, plenty of laughs, and a brilliant group of everyday people who simply love the game. No actors, no AI, no filters… just a community enjoying basketball together.**

If your club wants to use AI for promotion, that's entirely your choice. As for us, we'll stick with the real thing.***

Roll on the next session! 🏀

Tomorrow, Marjon Sport & Health Centre, 6.30-7.30pm… the legendary 45 and over Crossover basketball session!

If you fancy getting back into basketball and not hooping against the ‘young-bluds’ - come and give the ‘knee and hip replacement, gout riddled old farts’ basketball session a go.

See you then 🏀

Excited for this.

Today we start a new line-marking project for a major company in mighty Plymouth! This job has come off the back of the line-marking project we recently finished with Hele's School.

If you know anywhere that needs their lines updating then give us a shout!

Also big thanks to Fitness for Sport for our new tees - at least we will not forget our own names now hee hee.

Still chuffed from winning at Friday nights Basketball England awards and to celebrate it with some of the South Wests amazing basketball clubs and players was incredible too. South West basketball is one of the strongest basketball havens in the country and to be recognised as part of the growing basketball community is truly incredible.

We’re incredibly proud and grateful. 🏀

On Friday evening, we had the honour of attending the Basketball England South West Awards after being nominated in one of the categories — something we were already genuinely humbled by.

The evening was fantastic, filled with familiar faces, inspiring conversations, and a real celebration of the basketball community. Then came a moment we truly weren’t expecting:

We were honoured to receive the Community Basketball Programme of the year award!!! 🏆

This recognition means a huge amount to us and to have the work recognised in this way is incredibly special and something we’re very thankful for.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who voted for us, supported us, and continues to believe in what we’re building together.

This has only motivated us even more to keep pushing forward — transforming spaces across Plymouth, creating opportunities for young people, and bringing more energy and accessibility to the game we all love.

Crossover on three.
