What an exciting day Year 3 had at Kents Cavern! We stepped back in time to learn all about the Stone Age and what life was like thousands of years ago.

The children took part in a scavenger hunt, putting their Stone Age knowledge to the test, and had the opportunity to hold and investigate real artefacts, helping them understand how people lived in the past.

We also happened to visit at a very exciting time, as archaeologists were busy excavating inside the cave, searching for artefacts and evidence from the past! It was fantastic for the children to see archaeology happening right in front of them and to understand how historians discover more about Stone Age life.

The highlight of the day was certainly venturing deep into the cave! The children loved exploring the fascinating caverns and imagining what it would have been like for Stone Age people to use them.

A brilliant day full of history, exploration, discovery and lots of fun!

Well done, Year 3, for being such fantastic historians!

Year 4 had an amazing Greek Day last Thursday where they had the opportunity to immerse themselves into what it would be like to live in Ancient Greece. They took part in activities learning about Greek theatre, Greek gods and famous battles.

All of the children's costumes looked fantastic. Thank you for your support in helping everyone have a great experience!
