📚✨ **Ladybirds & Bumblebees Visit the Library!** ✨📚

Our **Ladybirds and Bumblebees** had a wonderful afternoon visiting **Crownhill Library**! 🐞🐝📖

The children loved exploring the library, looking through all the different books, sharing stories together and choosing some of their favourites. ❤️

📖 **Reading is such an important part of a child’s early development.** Sharing books from a young age helps to build vocabulary and communication skills, develops imagination and creativity, supports concentration and listening skills, and encourages a lifelong love of reading. 🌟

Trips like this also give our children valuable opportunities to explore their **local community**, experience new environments and build their confidence when out and about. 🥰

A huge well done to all our little bookworms — you represented **Alexandra House Childcare Centre** beautifully! 📚🐞🐝💛

🍛 Bumblebees – Curry Making! 🍛

Bumblebees had a fabulous time today independently chopping up vegetables to make a delicious curry! 🥕🥔🧅🫑

The children used child-friendly knives 🔪 and were very careful while chopping. They did a fantastic job developing their independence and practising their cutting skills! 👏😊

The vegetables were then taken away to be cooked into a beautiful curry ready for this afternoon’s snack. 🍛👩‍🍳👨‍🍳 Most of the children thoroughly enjoyed tasting their delicious creation! 😋❤️

🌭👩‍🍳 Little Chefs in the Making! 👨‍🍳🌭

Our Ladybirds have been busy in the kitchen today creating their very own homemade sausage rolls! 😋

The children had so much fun getting involved, exploring the ingredients and helping to make their tasty creations. Cooking is a fantastic way to develop fine motor skills, independence, confidence and an understanding of different foods – all while having lots of fun! 💛

They looked absolutely delicious… we definitely have some little chefs in the making! 👏🌟

Bumblebees and Ladybirds enjoyed a lovely trip out to the library this morning! 📚😊

🎶 It was Rhyme Time, and the children really enjoyed joining in with the songs, rhymes and actions. 👏🎵 They had lots of fun listening and taking part together. 🥰

🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️ The children also enjoyed their walk in the fresh air and looking around at their environment along the way. 🌳🍃🌤️

🌟 The children were very well behaved and did a fantastic job walking safely and listening to the adults. 👏💛

Today the Ladybirds had lots of fun doing some baking! 🥰🧑‍🍳 They made some delicious pizza swirls! 🍕😋

The children all took turns spreading the tasty tomato sauce across the pastry 🍅🥄 and then adding the grated cheese 🧀. They did a fantastic job taking turns and working together! 🌟👏

Once their pizza swirls had cooked, the children sat down together and enjoyed their tasty treat for snack! 😋🍕💕

Our Ladybirds 🐞 and Bumblebees 🐝 did a fantastic job helping to clean up our local area! 🗑️♻️🌿

The children worked together to carefully collect litter and help make our community a cleaner, safer and happier place. 💚

Activities like this are so important for our children. They help them learn about caring for our environment, looking after wildlife, recycling and taking pride in the community they live in. 🌎🌱 It also encourages teamwork, responsibility and shows the children that even small actions can make a BIG difference! 💪✨

🦷 BIG BRUSH CLUB! 🦷🪥

Our Big Brush Club has been going amazingly again! 🌟 We are so proud of how well the children have taken to their daily toothbrushing routine — they are becoming little toothbrushing superstars! ⭐😁

Introducing good oral-health habits from an early age is so important. Regular brushing helps children learn how to care for their teeth and gums, helps prevent tooth decay and, most importantly, makes toothbrushing a normal and positive part of their everyday routine. 🪥✨

At nursery, we encourage the children to become increasingly independent, learning how to hold their toothbrush, brush carefully and understand why looking after their teeth is important. Of course, our team are always there to support and supervise them. 💛

Children should brush their teeth twice a day with fluoride toothpaste, with an adult helping or supervising to make sure all those little teeth get a good clean. 🦷🫧

We absolutely love seeing how proud the children are when it is time for Big Brush Club — keep up the fantastic brushing everyone! 👏🪥😁

Healthy habits start young, and little routines can make a BIG difference! 💛

🌍 Exciting News from Nursery! 🌱

We are delighted to announce that we are becoming Climate Ambassadors!

As part of our commitment to caring for the environment, we are also joining the National Education Nature Park and the Climate Action Awards.

This is a huge milestone for our nursery, and we are incredibly proud of the progress we have already made. With lots of support, enthusiasm, and brilliant ideas from our wonderful children and staff, we have introduced many positive changes to help look after our environment and reduce our impact on the planet.

Over the coming months, we will be taking part in exciting projects, learning more about nature, and finding even more ways to make a difference together.

We would love your support as we begin this journey and continue working towards a greener, more sustainable future for our children and community.

Thank you for helping us inspire the next generation of environmental champions! 💚🌿
